Are other than base instructions different only for DM (hold position)? As I am on PS5
I like this approach- in the same line neighbouring players having same role and position,  like PF. Making it a bit easier for maintaining and rotation.
Do you change instruction? Im on PS5 and its always a challenge :)
Always attacking or you change mentality on a fly based on score? Or adjust it for different teams? e.g. away against MC or RM - "cautious".
Avenger22 said: The pressing forward is a very weird role, is it basically DLF(s) with pressing maxed ?

Found this explanation for both with traits advised. Hope it helps:

Deep Lying Forward.

Main function is to link the attack to the midfield. He aims to drop deep into space and hold up the ball before supplying linking passes to teammates, moving the ball back to midfield support, spreading it wide to the flanks and, if he has time to turn, playing in his strike partner.

On support the Deep Lying Forward will largely aim to bring teammates into play before attacking the box from deep

Useful traits: Likes To Switch Ball To Other Flank, Moves Into Channels, Plays With Back To Goal, Stops Play, Tries Killer Balls Often

Pressing forward

His main duty is to put pressure on the opposition when they have possession, closing them down and chasing any loose balls in order to prevent the opposing players having too much time on the ball. The point at which he will press is dependent on the team’s overall line of engagement

On support the Pressing Forward will generally take more risks when looking to bring teammates into the game.

Traits for Support: Tackles, Plays With back to goal, Stops play.

So difference is minimal but looks like PF - presses more and moves less  :)
@infxamus  posted great info about traits for problem solving. I am copying it here as it is in his thread:

######### START
Traits that are contrasting to team/player instructions will lead to the tactic being less effective

A negative trait for ALL POSITIONS: "Does Not Dive Into Tackles" affects the "Tackle Harder" instruction

Only try putting a trait on the player if he has the ability to do it (example: If a player has high technique and passing "tries killer balls often" trait is a good one

...

For PF -
Positive Traits: "Comes Deep to Get Ball" or "Moves Into Channels", "Plays With Ball Back To Goal"
Negative Traits: "Runs With Ball Through Centre". Avoid using players who also have "Will Try to beat Offside Trap" or "Gets Forward Whenever Possible" traits for the role because then they'll basically turn into another AF when there's no other playmakers

For IFs -
Positive traits: "Runs With Ball Often", "Tries Killer Balls" "Cuts inside from *insert wing here*"
Negative Traits: "Likes ball played into feet" (affects "pass into space" team instruction), "Comes Deep To Get Ball", "Dwells On Ball"
########  END

Though as I understood due to changes in "roam from position", new traits will be as following:

For PF -
Positive Traits:  "Moves Into Channels", "Plays With Ball Back To Goal"

For IF - "Comes Deep to Get Ball" or "Moves Into Channels", "Runs With Ball Often", "Tries Killer Balls" "Cuts inside from *insert wing here*"

Correct me if I am wrong.

Is it the only change compared to instructions in https://fm-arena.com/attachment/69078/  Problem solving? Including of course to mark DR and DL for IFs.
@infxamus  Thanks for all your time and detailed responses. This is the best tactics I played. And I don't think there is a lot of threads where even traits are explained so well.

By the way, do you have any idea, why there are absolutely no tactics with 5 defenders or 3 CD with WBs in the top? I remember in old patches diversity was broader.
infxamus said: I personally put the best goalscorer at AF and the better playmaker at PF

For AF -
Positive Traits: "Moves Into Channels", or "Plays One-Twos" "Gets Forward Whenever Possible" "Gets Into Opposition Area", "Likes To Beat Offside Trap"
Negative Traits: "Runs with ball rarely" "Comes Deep To Get Ball"
For PF -
Positive Traits: "Comes Deep to Get Ball" or "Moves Into Channels", "Plays With Ball Back To Goal"
Negative Traits: "Runs With Ball Through Centre". Avoid using players who also have "Will Try to beat Offside Trap" or "Gets Forward Whenever Possible" traits for the role because then they'll basically turn into another AF when there's no other playmakers

Could you please advice about traits for other positions - DM, FA, BPD?
McFLYVidic said: @Alexandru Did you set training to individual? And literaly everyone on pace and acceleration also goalkepper?

1. Training is "automatic" intensity if that what you ask apart from "double" intensity for fresh - the only thing I change. I play on PS5 so for training there is much less variability available.

2. For GK I don't put pace or acceleration. And I dont put Pace/acceleration for players below 22 y.o. as advised by fccadoni.
I started to train everyone pace and acceleration and results went dramatically up. With media prediction 6-8 at season start with 50-1 bets I got 2 wins in a row.
Fmconsoleplayer said: How do you do fccandoni training on ps5 because it ain’t the same as pc there’s only presets

I use only what is possible from that blog:
1. Training position before 22y with no focus and role after 22y
2. Changed intensity to double for "full rested"
I am having success with this tactics in different leagues and Nations on PS5. Especially after following changes:

1. Changed training like in fccadoni blog. (Not everything can be set up for PS5 though)
2. Half of a season training Quickness for everybody, another half "no focus".
3. Trying rotation where possible so almost everyone is at least satisfied.

Won 4 CL in a row with Bournemouth recently in years 2035-2039 :)
How "balanced" approach works with this one?
Mark said: Most people seem to recommend training to positions and not roles. I certainly do.

In terms of loading training files that you have downloaded, you need to place the downloaded file in the schedule folder in your game files. For Windows this is generally at C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\schedules. Once the file is there the process is as follows:

In FM24 in your loaded save go to Training, then Schedules. Then click on the drop down for New Schedule. Select Custom Schedules, then Select Import Schedule. The folder indicated should be where you saved the Training Schedule you want to use. Select the Schedule you want to import and then click on Load. The schedule will then come up. Click on Save As and then give the schedule a name. You can then go to Calendar and select your Schedule for each week by clicking on the drop down then Custom Schedule and whatever you named the schedule.

Good luck

So just to clarify - is it better to put training "DL" and not "FB Attack" on left back? as an example.
Gianaa9 said: Just do like that:
- Set the minimum in “Trigger Pressing” on Out Of Possession TIs
- Set Trigger Pressing More Often on IFs’ PIs
- Set again maximum pressing on Out Of Possession TIs

Hope i’ve been clear enough!

thanks, found this solution in reddit  and posted at the same time as you. Thank you
Do others have the same thing on IF on PS5 - unable to add "Close down more"?

Update: Figured it out. for those struggling on console - "Go back to team instructions- put pressing back on standard, then come to this page again, you should be able to customize individual instructions now" (Source - Reddit)

I used @Gerrard Azure v3 SP's

I cruised pass 1-st Ukrainian league with the weakest team into Premier league. And then 3 seasons struggled avoiding relegation. Then switched to striker madness and now is 3-rd. I think this one is stable but needs better players. I have a weak team and striker madness gives possibility to win big or to loose big but in the end on average I am better off.
Pretty vigorous one :) A question though as I play on PS5. Does it mean that attacking width is just "standard"? As I replicated all from your posted images.

Another question - do you ever change settings for example mid game, when assistant tells you something like "shots are far away, so lets play "walk in the box"?
Great job. I switched from Katana yesterday managing Danish Esbjerg for 10 years and difference is noticeable starting my 11th year. Though I have one issue - I play on PS5 and cannot adjust passing dor DR and DL.
