The tactics on tab have already been lowered if necessary. Any other tactics should work on a dropped mentality apart from 424s that can stay the same. All other instructions can stay the same.

Usually SP means I've used the short passing tweak

Remove Counter Press and/or Counter
For a SUS these are ideas to use.
Remove counter press counter
Stop WB runs by going to defend or no nonsense FB
Change mentality cautious/Defensive
full SUS would be to regroup and hold shape
USE 1 MC, Can drop mentality if required
Depends on CBs
I don't recommend AM but I do not test training.

I only use original squads, so just make players fit. Just look by position and ignore roles.
Would be a different tactic. Most WBs or IFs can play winger position and become more accomplished over a season
