Overview: I decided to try something different.  Previously I've worked on my own Arrowhead and Blink tactic, and even tried some variations on Rush and my own strikerless builds.  However, I was challenged on stream to work on something more "standard".  I decided to try and make a successful 4-2-3-1 that could control possession, score goals, and prevent goals.  Some of the role inspiration is my own, some of it comes from ZaZ and some from Dino.  I think there are still some necessary tweaks, but I'm very happy with the results so far!

Methodology: This tactic was tested on the database that I made with Dino.  10 teams, 72 game season.  The teams do not have their original rosters.  Instead, the top 30 players in each position on the pitch were divided evenly among the 10 teams to provide a flat league structure.  Each team is "human controlled".  We have assigned/locked-in a base AI tactic to each team, then put an unsackable human manager on holiday.  This is to ensure that the tactic faces a spread of tactics that the AI is likely to use.  Two variations of 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, and 5-3-2.  4-4-2, 4-2-4, 4-1-2-1-2 all make an appearance as well.

I think this tactic is really strong and balanced and I hope you find some success with it!  If you have any questions, leave a comment and I'll try and answer them!  If you also have some good results or tests, post them here!
Changes and tweaks to Dino's Rush tactic.  Dino and I have both tested this tactic, but here are my results on our co-created 72 game, 10 team super league database.

Credit to Dino for the original shape/design, changes are my own in consultation with Dino himself.  172 points in our testing league is mental.  Slightly nervous it won't perform well in the fm-arena database as the testing teams don't have a ton of pace.  If your squad has pace, this is the tactic for you.

The through balls for the Wingers and the late runs for the CM and the arrival off the SS onto crosses create multiple avenues for open play goals.  Enjoy!

After seeing the success of some Wide Diamond tactics, I decided to revist my old Blink tactic.  I hadn't tinkered with this tactic since the new update, instead focusing my time on Arrowhead and Strikerless.

The changelog is extensive but some of the highlights include: RPM to DLP, W to DW, IWB to attack, removed several team instructions, mentality to positive.

After playing more games with other tactics and some more Arrowhead matches, the Wide Midfielders are excellent and I recommend them in other tactics as well.

I'm also curious if anyone has had a chance to try out regroup in any of their tactics.  I think it might be strong in the single striker tactics, but I am curious if people feel the same.
That's awesome to see!  I've created a new version of the tactic that was tested on 22.2.0.  You can see the thread here: https://fm-arena.com/thread/2016-arrowhead-3-0-22-2-0-tested/

It hasn't been tested yet by the admins, but it's been my best version since the update.
I forgot to add that if anyone else has any tests of the Arrowhead 3.0, I'd love to see them.  Also, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.  I just want to improve it as much as I can!
After some testing and deliberation on how to approach the 22.2.0 match engine, I've arrived at some changes to the Arrowhead.

Methodology
===========
Same methodology as before.  Twice through the 10 team testing league co-designed by Dino.  144 matches, no discarded tests.

Changelog (to the best of my memory)
=========
-very attacking to attacking
-switched to Wide Midfielders
-shorter passing
-ticked down tempo
-switched to regroup from counterpressing
-much higher line of engagement from higher
-ticked down trigger press to 'more often'

These results are nearly identical which is WILD over two 72 match tests.  Not sure how it will perform in the FM-Arena database, but regardless of how it performs, it has been playing very well for me against the AI and in a PvP competition.

Arrowhead seems to top out at 5.6, Blink never really arrived.  So we move.  The result is a 4-3-3 that marries some of the principles in Blink, Arrowhead, Zealot, and Dino's tactics.  We've got ramdeuters, mezzalas, roaming playmakers, and inverted wing backs, hopefully it works for you.

Version 1.0 is more asymmetrical, using some of Blink's philosophies of creating wing balance by twisting inversions on both sides.  The movement is asymmetrical and the DM is slightly off-center to accommodate the IWB.

Version 1.1 is symmetrical and uses more standard shape and movement, with narrow patterns like the Arrowhead.  RMD's keep the high pressure, the IWB's move into the midfield to cover for the MEZ moving forward.

Methodology
===========
Back again using Dino's 10 team super league database.  72 game season.  Tested with Inter.  Forced Lautaro Martinez into the AF role to avoid Edin Dzeko being played there.

Results
=======
Version 1.0
150 pts, 180 goals, 95 conceded
141 pts, 197 goals, 110 conceded

Version 1.1

Ive been spending some time working on different tactics, but I keep wandering back towards this tactic.  Attempting to continue to find the next level for the Arrowhead.

Methodology

72 game season with the top 10 teams in the world, tests run with Inter.  Database created in collaboration with Dino.

Lautaro Martinez missed 22 games with injury, but the tactic produced the most goals and second fewest conceded.  I hope it does well for you!

That's fair.  I'm sure a lot of time goes into the DB creation and to see that stolen and potentially used by a rival seems unfair, so I get that.  Just thought I'd ask.  Appreciate all you do to rate these tactics and I'll keep working harder to crack 6.0!
