Nice try, but u can see there would be a loss in attack. The rating of both BPDs would be low because of facing direct impact from opponents' wingers, but they play an important role as risk-takers by passing through balls to your 3 strikers.
I couldn't prove it's 100% correct but it might be a common sense in the near future that through balls would be the deadliest killer for the defence line. Besides, one CWB on one wing would find himself struggling under the pressure from both DM and DL/DR.

No OI so far and set pieces have been remade and you can find them in my last posted tactic BigDanBurn32221. Feel free to use the set pieces if u find them work well.
toonarmy0511 said: Same here. I think something is really wrong in the way the ME simulate pressing and marking. I've seen numerous times one or both of my CMs pressing opponents defenders high up the pitch only for them to suddenly break off and running back allowing the defenders to freely lob a ball up the pitch freely. I think for now at least we can't defend too high up. Expand I've tried several combinations of two man in mid and what I found is that you will be frustrated by the disastrous defensive plays with no DM.
toonarmy0511 said: I'm also using 4-2-4 right now very similar to this but with W(support)s and WBs(support) so at newcastle I put almiron on the left and St Maximin on the right. I'm going to try this one out but it seems this tactic is going to be very narrow with IWs and IWBs. Are you conceding a lot from crosses? Expand Nope. The biggest threat would be through passes, especially in mid.

Something in advance: 1.This version is designed for elite clubs. 2.During this TOT test, injury risk was setted to zero and fatigue, as well as unhappiness, were reset monthly. 3.Despite the great offensive performance during the whole season, TOT only got 3 L and 1 D when facing Liverpool.
Tweaks from PlayGM forum
Both two achieved excellent results during testing period. Sadly, my fm23 kept crushing in the middle of the whole season testing. So I guess I should just leave this two great tweaks for you guys. Feel free to leave comments.

BBB tactic series requires strong players as DL/DR. That's to say, pick WCB as your WB. For those who don't want to follow this, simply go to the set pieces section and pull back DL & DR to backline, swapping their positions with DMCL/DMCR's or AML/AMR's.

TBH, first test round was ridiculous. By using this tactic, ManUtd got 1st in PL before the World Cup, with an eight-macthes-in-a-row clean sheet. Then CR7's unhappiness finally leaded to the sack of the manager. What a waste of an excellent test opening.
It should be 4231dm because I just uploaded the new version yesterday.
thx for having a try.

Yep. Compared with the gameplay in FM22, it's way more difficult to achieve the balance between ATT and DEF in FM23.

That's pretty much of this tactic.
Yep. I've tried quite a few formations but it's hard to find a way to make a balance bewteen attack & defense in beta.
