from my experience playing gegenpress tactics mentality is actually only a minor factor in affecting players OPC. Fatigue, stamina/natural fitness and match sharpness have more effect on OPC overall compared to intensity.
so does this mean if you have a squad with players that have more pace/acc compared to other club in your league you will most certainly beat everyone?
I'm using this tactic with newcastle with 24.2 database (tonali suspension) and I'm 19-0-1. The only thing is my striker (Isak) is having a hard time scoring. The goals mostly come from the DMs and fullbacks
@CSTG KANE this is a great tactic. I'm undefeated now in 8 games but for some reason my striker is really struggling only 3 goals in 8. Most of my goals come from my DMs. Is this normal for this tactic?
Would be nice if you also test this with other team that's not too overpowered. To be fair any tactics would look good when using manchester city or liverpool or PSG

My 2 CBs keep getting horrible ratings (Bastoni & Scalvini) even though I don't concede that many goals. This wasn't a problem until their getting dropped from their national team because of poor club performance. Is anyone having the same problem with their CBs?

Funny how all premier league team now play with 1 or 2 DMs. It almost feel like SI is forcing this playstyle. Even with 1 or 2 DMs though you still see unusually high numbers of through balls resulting in goals.

I tried with 1 DM and even that is still very leaky. I think mentality has a lot to do with it now. When I drop the mentality to balanced or cautious I see that players are more likely to track opposing players attacking movement. If you're playing on positive/attacking/very attacking you pretty much just have to outscore your opponents. SI really need to tweak it. This also happen to the AI by the way.

Same here. I think something is really wrong in the way the ME simulate pressing and marking. I've seen numerous times one or both of my CMs pressing opponents defenders high up the pitch only for them to suddenly break off and running back allowing the defenders to freely lob a ball up the pitch freely. I think for now at least we can't defend too high up.
I'm also using 4-2-4 right now very similar to this but with W(support)s and WBs(support) so at newcastle I put almiron on the left and St Maximin on the right. I'm going to try this one out but it seems this tactic is going to be very narrow with IWs and IWBs. Are you conceding a lot from crosses?
just curious when you guys test this tactic did you simulate the season or play it through? I simulate this tactic 3 times with newcastle (ass. manager picks best 11) and every single time I got sacked after finishing 6th, 7th and 7th.
I'm gutted too I love 433 but yea it got hit hardest it seems because it's way harder to play through balls to feed your lone center striker
what did you tweak if you don't mind sharing?
first match no knowledge of tactics and this happens!
Obviously failed. You need yellow cards for everybody
