Honestly, with red cards it depends on the position. If it's one of the full backs I just sacrifice the DM and play them in the vacated position. Usually though I just leave the gap and inshallah.
First of all, Good Evening.

I have uploaded a number of my tactics in recent weeks and have been striving to get an excellent rating, was a couple of points shy with 2036's effort, yet after some tinkering and role changes I believe I may have found the combination to get me there.

It's the same 4-3-3 shape as I've been using since day one, however I've upped the attacking roles to try and dominate teams more. I realise my own results are skewed due to the fact my Southampton team is gamebreaking, I have like 6 of the best players in the world in my XI. Regardless, you can always test a tactic this way, if it outperforms everything you've had before, surely it's an improvement.

In the 2037 season I was able to net 150 Premier League goals and go unbeaten with 112 points out of a possible 114, but the tactic isn't defensively secure enough for that unless you've got a super team, at least I don't think it is.

I think defensively you will struggle if playing with a poor team, but if you've got quick players, you should be fine. My only advice would be to use touchline shouts, berate when you go a goal down, encourage if its level and praise when you go two goals ahead.

Turning the two central defenders into ball playing defenders has allowed me to keep possession better and improvement my passing efficiency.

Would love to see how this one does in the tests, and please anyone who uses it feel free to let me know your results and advice

Thanks guys!

Okay, this test is much more positives finally getting up there in points. Will try a few tweaks in the lab for next season and then upload that to see if I can get nearer the top, although I realise its hard with 4-3-3. Thanks for whoever is taking the time to do the tests, it's really very much appreciated.

No my squad is pretty much the same, it is perfect. So of course the tactic is going to work better than in the test. I'm trying to develop it in a way it will work for others or if i move to a new club
Good Evening Friends.

I have been aware my previous two versions of this system haven't necessarily been treated kindly by the tactic table! I have thus been back to the lab for a third time, looking to try and finally find something that will rank positively.

I've gone back to the balanced approach and it has resulted in conceding just 13 PL goals all season, I have also changed how I try and build from the back, utilising quick rolls to the full backs and then passing inside via the half back and CM (S)

If you're struggling against a team that is better than you, you can turn the passing length up to long, although if you have a good enough team this shouldn't be necessary.

The system keeps possession, especially at home, utilizing crosses into the lone advanced forward. Ideally he isn't 5ft 5in, but it's not a necessity.

No opposition instructions needed.

Don't they miss training sessions traveling for multiple matches doing this??

Hi, it probably doesn't based on the test results. I'd only advise using it with a very good/quick team
Pumpkin said: Whatever you believe is the best training schedule for development, it doesn't really change between U18's and your first team

Going to give your schedule a go for my u18 team this season, with the excellent condition players training with double intensity.
Pumpkin said: Personally I only do for teams like U18 or U16 as thats when training is most important in development and worth the slight increase un likelihood of injury

Just to clarify, you mean you use double intensity for the u-18 squad?
Hello good buddies,

Having seen the pasting my previous tactic received in the FM Arena test, I have been back to the lab and changed some things and believe I had stumbled upon a much more potent version of my previous system.

It gets rid of the balanced approach which limited midfield support in attack, and I've always changed the BWM role and made it a CM on support. I've seen my striker get more goals as a result, turning into the Haaland alternative I always wanted.

If you're struggling against a team that is better than you, you can turn the passing length and tempo up to the second highest setting to the right on both sliders.

The system keeps possession, especially at home, utilizing crosses into the lone advanced forward. Ideally he isn't 5ft 5in, but it's not a necessity.

No opposition instructions needed.

It's not my work, it's the fantastic work of Youtubers.

I'm listening... what's your schedule?

Hi Guys,

Here is my 4-3-3 tactic that I've been using for the entirety of my Southampton save, tweaking it gradually as my players got better.

The screenshots are from my latest season, the 2033/32 campaign, in which I won every trophy except the FA Cup.

Now some issues with the system are the centre forward doesn't score like Haaland, and I'd love to get some ideas on how to improve that after some of you have tested it or just on viewing the screenshots.

If you're having trouble during a game, you can go into the tactic and change the passing settings to the two second furthest to the left- shorter and lower tempo. This helps keep the ball and takes pressure off your defence.

I've recruited players exclusively using the attribute weight table on this site, so you don't need a specific type of player.

No opposition instructions unless it's Haaland, whilst I usually just use the most positive team talks.

Any advice on this system would be greatly appreciated and I hope it can help some of you.

Also in fixture congestion it's common practice to give first 11 a couple of days of rest. The settings merely automate this process so I don't have to do it all the time.

Not saying it's necessarily the best, but I like the simplicity of it and how it reduces the amount of things I have to handle or pay attention to.

This makes sense because they gain their best development by playing matches, and that auto rest means trhey will play every game barring injury. I'm going to try running ZAZ schedule with that on my u21 and u18 this season, whilst putting the auto rest on. Not going to touch my first team yet until I'm more confident.
opq said: you won't develop your players by trainings only, it's crucial for them to actually play competitive
and resting schedule just helps them to not get overloaded and stay fresh

Do u-23 games count as competitive
Yarema said: I think most of the schedules out there do a similar job. My personal preference is the ZaZ concept, saves me time since I don't have to manually rest players in fixture congestion. And there is no dilemma which sessions to skip when you have less slots available in a week because of matches or travel.

I don't fully trust the system ZAZ uses though, where he puts training intensity on none aside from the full green heart. Surely that limits development.
Mark said: Have a look at Max on the Evidence Based Football Manager on Youtube. He covers all this off

So you guys use his training schedule from his last video?
It also doesn't mention the best training schedules
Lapidus said: @Chriswin4, look at this - https://fm-arena.com/thread/2671-player-development-and-training/

Thanks man, I read through that last night, I wasn't sure if it was still up to date though. FM23 might have seen some new developments.
Hi guys,

I know Mark and ZAZ did some testing for last year, but it wondered what the general consensus was regarding training schedules this year? I've been running RDF and it seemed to be going well with the seniors but the u23 and u18 I'm not too sure.

What is a good level of CA increase per season and I've noticed that CA rises occur before january and then not a lot afterwards. What are you guys running? Does having every non-gk on quickness training actually have a negative impact?

I'd love to know any really good sessions for CA rising for my u-23 team, which is where my best youth play for a year before a loan.
