There is something major wrong with this FM26, I get knocked out of Carabao cup first round at home 1-2. I have 14 shots on target and score only 1 goal and they have only 2 shots on target and they score both the two goals. And this happens repeatedly. This is absolutely unrealistic for me. And this never happens on my side but always with the opponent's. How is this possible? Because of this no tactic works properly. I may have to stop playing this game
Player Instructions: tackle harder for all, stay wider for IF, and stay narrower for AWB.
Opponent Instructions: None, and only recommend people to do so if they know what they are doing.
Light version when you have a comfortable lead: Ease Off Tackle for all players, Stay On Feet, then reduce one step in mentality (to Positive), Trigger Press, and Tempo. The goal of this version is to avoid injuries and cards, at the cost of performance.
Set pieces and training are in the attachments. Make sure to leave three rest days after every match, double intensity when full energy, and no pitch or gym training when below full condition. I also set everyone for Quickness focus, and train them in any role of their position with focus on pace and acceleration (highlighted attributes). Pictures for people on consoles are below. Credits to everyone in FM-Arena, to be fair. First versions of Autumn came before Argus, which came before Diaboliq, which came before Kickback, which came before this version of Autumn, and many other people also did small experiments which gave hints to what might be working well in this patch. Probably there will be a better tactic inspired by this one in the next hours or days, so I am just happy to contribute. Expand
Hi @ZaZ would just like to understand how does it help in giving 3 rest days after a match? Is 1 day rest enough? And say if a match is after 3 days then how many days rest do you give? I also noticed that due to rest, the match performance went down a lot and players were not performing as well as they were with the full training!
ZaZ said: If you pick a role for training, the player will gain position proficiency and it will grow the highlighted attributes for that role in training sessions. If you don't pick a role, the game will default training for the player's favorite role and position, and it will only gain position proficiency based on playtime in that position.
In my personal opinion, I prefer to put a role with focus on pace and acceleration, for the position they are supposed to play. I don't do micro-optimization to get players with 20 Pace and Acceleration, I prefer to play it like a normal human being, buy young fast players, and accept if they only grow them to 18-19 instead. Expand
So what do you suggest to train the role or only the position?
@ZaZ Can you please have a look if this is the correct way to train the position and not the roles? Ive selected only the playing position and OOP role none?
You can move them around, but don't add extra training or change rest to recovery, otherwise it will change and give different (inferior) training results. There is a delicate balance between rest sessions and training sessions going on.
This seems best, but you can change it if you want to, it seems to be mainly injury vs training tradeoff. This favors low injury rate.
Quickness focus for outfield Agility & Balance focus for GK
Leave position as default (i.e. AMR) instead of specific role, as it (can) negatively impact attribute allocation if you set specific role Expand
How do you get to this screen? I am getting this option of IP and OOP roles?
ZaZ said: There isn't much to it. Just remove all training sessions after every match, possibly using some premade training schedule, then set players to "no pitch or gym training) if they are low on energy (which would be true for all players participating in matches).
I will add my training schedule here if you are interested, but I didn't make any testing to know how it compares to other schedules (keep in mind my schedule assumes double intensity when full condition). Expand
ZaZ said: Just adding here too, you can automatize the process by setting "no pitch or gym training" for players below full condition, and making the training sessions after match be full rest (3x rest). That will trigger the super-rest after every match, making it a breeze to handle condition during the season. Expand

If not , what do you currently use and did you or any other lads come up with some good set pieces specifically for this current patch? Thanks. Expand
I have achieved something extraordinary, after winning all the four trophies with Arsenal in the first season, in the second season I have won all the 7 trophies in my second season thanks to the Deadpool
During the match how to give these instructions of work ball into box, shoot less and discourage shots from distance?
Thanks
So basically that's 1 day of rest?

for GK do you train Reactions or Agility and balance?

Got it, thank you so much!
Can you please help me set this up in the game?
Thank you!
I run the team using this training system.
Instead of Rest, I find it more effective to schedule three Recovery sessions.
I assign Quickness as individual training to all outfield players,
and Reflexes as individual training to all goalkeepers.
I do not use positional training sessions, either In Possession or Out of Possession.
Reflexes is GK Reactions correct? And do we train only the position and not the player roles?
