Dino said: Running Test on Rush 2.0 from above. With the changes to defense and aggression I figured this would be a good one to run again. Expand
Results were extremely positive as you can see up top! An extremely defensive tactic at the moment. Will continue to play around with it and try to tweak before posting a new updated version of it.
I have uploaded a new version of Rush. This Rush ASYM has been performing very well in my testing league and scoring lots of goals. If you use it in your save switch side depending on where your personnel strength is of course.
If anyone has been using the Rush Strikerless tactics and has any feedback, please let me know.
After the most recent test of the Rush Def. I'm going to try and make my Rush 2.0 https://fm-arena.com/tactic/1827-dino-rush-2-0/ in to a lower intensity defensive tactic. Once I have done some testing, I will upload a new version.
Following up on a reply to a post in @ZaZ Orange thread. I have posted the defensive/low intensity version I use of Rush when I am up in a game or playing on the Road/ need to rest players.
The I have moved almost all roles down to a Sup role if they were on attacking. Adjusted Mentality down to positive with shorter passing and only higher tempo.
One of the key in game adjustments I will do if possibly switch on play for set pieces which uses @ZaZ set pieces and will also turn on or off play out defence if the other team is pressing or not.
My Dino Rush 2.0 on that list is my go-to defensive formation I switch to when I am up by 3 in the second half or wanting to close out a game. Very solid shit housing.
Uses shape of the Midfield diamond shape that was introduced in Rush which is a tweak from @Zealot in their Revelation 1.0.
New Testing Method
Collaborated with MomentaryBlink to share a testing database. Top 10 teams in the world, 76 game season, no continental or domestic cup competitions, all teams have injuries and suspensions wiped at the start of the test. Upper mid-table Inter was used for the tests to most closely mirror Team A and Team B in the FM-Arena tests.
Changes from Previous version of Rush and findings which lead to this adjustment and my belief that this is the best version of Rush.
Change Log
IF -> RMD (At) SS -> AP (At) CM -> MEZ (At) RPM -> A (De) FB -> IWB (At)
After have sessions of live play on Rush (Tweek of Revelation) it was noticed that a lot of chance creation and scored was coming from the IF and that the SS would lots of times drop in to the whole and distribute the ball to either the IF or the CM. So instead of trying to brute force the SS to be the main scoring threat this movement was instead encouraged.
The RMD and are now more of a scoring threat attacking violently and this will allow the more creative at times AP to either find them on the run or look for the chance them self as they are starting in a spot where it seemed unnatural for the SS to be in the previous version.
The Mez will add width and pull defenders to either allow for the cross, a through ball to the RMD running in to the gap or back to the AP/ IWB as an outlet.
As a newer poster I am dealing with this now. I want to see tweaks tested and finding what the appropriate level of is understandable. After your replies @Zippo and talking with other members I have a better understanding. I’m glad a post like this is started because as new person to the forums I want to make sure on the proper way to not only post a new tactic but also to properly attribute a tweak.
Zippo said: @Dino, I agree with @Chewbacca. Please, edit the OP and add that "Rush" tactic is revelation's tweak with SS instead of AF and "Rush 4" tactic is revelation's tweak with SS instead of AF and IWs instead of IFs.
Thank you. Expand
Thank you for the Feedback @Zippo I will make sure to make those changes. This is my first cycle making and posting tactics.
