What I personally will test: Take less risks across all positions remove tackle harder from all positions Stay on feet Play for set-pieces Be more disciplined remove all instructions for GK Mid-block Standard pressing drop defense line don't block crosses (all my CDs have 18-19 jumping and 14-17 positioning)
Feel free to test this stuff out. Hopefully, you can make the tactic better. Remember that many of the instructions only help the tactic score better on FMArena and might not be the best for a normal save.
Cherknam said: Yeah I've seen, hopefully it works well. I prefer the two SS rather AM personally, have you tried that with DM (Su)? Definitely worse than with AMs? Expand
I would say SS and AMs are about the same. I think there could be a slight edge for either one but it will never be noticeable in the game.
The roles I use are whats most effective for me. However, I can see SS or a BWM-D working well for this shape. I would just try stuff out to see if it helps the tactic in the game.
TargetPerson said: Nice to see different roles and duties at every position, except for the double AF of course . Any luck with a supporting striker like DLF or F9? Expand
I have had luck with using a pressing forward (support) in tactics. It might not be "optimal" but I think replacing the left striker with PF-S would still work for this tactic. I have not done much testing with DLFs or F9s.
Lapidus said: If my memory serves me right then in fm-arena league wingers(DWs) have like "5" for "Tackling" so I really don't think that high "Tackling" is necessary. Expand
They pick up a lot of yellow cards if they don't have alright tackling. I just find it annoying to have to change the role since you can't tell them to ease off tackles.

Good: 1. The tactic is a baller
Bad: 1. It really hard to find good IWB & DW
So this might be a very good tactic for 2nd season and up if you are guy who just holidays like me because it's not always possible to sell players in season 1.
If it helps at all in my experience the preferred foot of both the DW and IWB do not matter. However, I do think it is beneficial if the wingers are decent at tackling.
Asymmetrical 4231 which was tested on the new patch. I did not offset the striker and used an IW so it could stay wider. Trying a mix of different roles like DM-D, IWB, AM-A. Normal meta instructions and set pieces.

Take less risks across all positions
remove tackle harder from all positions
Stay on feet
Play for set-pieces
Be more disciplined
remove all instructions for GK
Mid-block
Standard pressing
drop defense line
don't block crosses (all my CDs have 18-19 jumping and 14-17 positioning)

Anchor
Wanted to try it out with a more passive-defensive role at LDM.
Lower Line
BWM-D
I want to see how the lower line will impact this shape and the use of both underlaps and overlaps

I put in a test to see if lowering the defensive line could improve the tactic. https://fm-arena.com/thread/4707-wide-xmas-tree-am-v2/#thread-name-anchor
