Yes it's fine if inverted should be just as effective, but that means also putting the channel midfielder on the left and the attacking midfielder on the right

Traits aren't a big need, just don't put a trait that contrasts with the player instruction, for example, the left winger has the cut inside instruction, you don't want a player who has 'runs with ball down left' trait as it affects the tactic

I wouldn't say this is a complete plug and play tactic, because you would need to make a bunch changes to the team, like re-training your striker for the SS role (if he's young) and that could take the whole season depending on his adaptability. Or you may need to sell and replace him with someone who is at least 'accomplished' enough to play there. Same thing for the wingbacks
Jqg said: Hi, great tactic! I've reached the Champions League final, but I still have to play. I wanted to ask if it's possible for you to test the exact same tactic without PI? It seems like the latest tactics approaching the top are without PI, and I'm curious if it will improve it even further, if that's even possible. Thanks, and sorry for my bad English. Happy holidays! I have tried it without PIs, but that was last patch haven't tried it for this patch, I could test it and see.
For this tactic apart from tackle harder on all outfield positions, the defenders and midfielders are on default instructions, only the WBs and wingers have additional instructions
- Added 'mark tighter' and 'mark specific position' to wingers
- IW to IF
Results:
- OCB
- 2 AMs
- Added 'press less often' to wingers
Results:
- Removed play through both flanks
- Increase press to high press
- CHM to AM
Results:
- V7, but with Advanced wingbacks and no mark specific position
Results:
No not really you might need to find or train players to play wingback and SS and that can possibly take a couple of seasons
- Moved Strikers down to Second Striker
- PWB now WB added with play on both flanks for wing play
Results:
- OCBs
- Using WB and Wide forward combo to utilize wing play
Results:
- 2 ACB combo
- 2 IFs
Results:
- Tracking Winger combined with mark specific position
Results:

Yes, sub off the SS and if you need a goal turn the Inverted Winger to an inside forward
- Removed 'Mark Specific Position' on wingers
Results:
- Back to AM/CHM midfield pairing
- Removed 'move into channels' on SS
- 2 IFs
Results:
- 2 AMs midfield combo
- Removed 'stay wider' on Wingers
Results:
- Reverted to V7
- AM/AP midfield combo
- Removed 'move into channels' from AM to keep them centrally

- Attempt to improve defense by adding marking instructions to WBs
Results:
Left winger marks DR and the right winger will mark DL
When playing a team with wingbacks use mark WBR and WBL
Yes, tackle harder for all outfield positions
