In FM DMs, Full Backs, Central Midfielder and Central Defenders get lower rating compared with other positions. I think the devs did it work like that to prevent these from getting Golden Ball ahead for Strikers, Inside Forward and Wingers(like it happens in real life) because in FM the average rating during the season is what's taken into consideration when it comes to the Golden Ball winner.

Having a low rating is a destiny of DM position in any tactic, it's just the way Match Engine works in FM and you can't do anything about.
I've been playing with this tactic for some time and I really like it. It's a very nice goal scoring tactic and it's quite easy to build your team for it. Well done.
No doubt, that some attributes such as Acceleration, Pace, Agility and Dribbling are very overpowered in FM21. I think it's somehow in line with what we see in real life.
dakiri said: oh wow. My apologies for not doing the research, I didn't realize there was already such a similar tactic. Yes, Valhalla is basically the same thing. My guess is that mine might score a little more but would probably be much less successful overall, so it's fine if this doesn't deserve a test - and I'll look at other similar tactics more before I submit again! They aren't the same. There's enough difference between them. I think your tactic's worth testing.

I've tried this tactic with different teams and players in that position, always with the same result. For example, i'm playing with Daniel Bragança now, in 16 appearances he has an average rating of 6.79. Thanks!! Expand
As @ZaZ said 6.7/6.8 rating is a normal rating for DM position.
In general, very often the way the game gives ratings looks unfair for some positions and SI always try improves it. There have been many patches where SI adjusted the rating algorithm but as you can see it's still far from perfect and some position get lower ratings than other positions no matter what.
crazyfmguy93 said: I try it with Karabükspor. Media Prediction is 20. Not successful neither. I think it is not good with small team. My team defenders are shooting the ball forward without aim and opponent's attack start. Expand
Here's my result with Karabükspor.
The team was predicted to finish the 20th place and also had -3 points deduction at the begging of the season.
I finished the 2nd place and I find it's a great result.
Mark said: @Droid and @Zippo I would be interested in your thoughts on the original question. How do we test the tactics for the Lower Leagues. That was all I was attempting to do. Viola was only behind due to performance with lower ranked sides. I think they were all impressive in my tests but my observation was there was a small but measurable difference. Expand
If you want to know my experience then whatever tactic I test I get better results in the lower leagues than in the top leagues and I find it's quite logical because it's obvious that in the lower leagues the AI managers are less "smarter" than the AI managers in the top leagues. Yes, the players are also are less "smarter" in the lower leagues but they are less smarter not only for you but for the AI managers too so you are on par.
I'd say if you find a tactic that allows you winning the title in EPL or La Lige with a mid table team then you'll be killing everyone with this tactic in the lower league.
Mark said: ZaZ Blue 2.0 is 3.977% higher than Phoenix V3.0 and 8.525% higher than Viola V1. Phoenix V3.0 is 4.374% higher than Viola V1
All these are above your 3.5% threshold. Expand
For me that proves that you can't test tactics by just plugging them and pushing "On Holiday" button. I understand why people tend to test tactics this way because it the simplest way to test, it doesn't require any skill or any efforts but it also gives an inaccurate result even after 1600 matches because the impact of random factors is very significant in this case, any injuries of the key players in your team or any injuries of the key players in the opposition team have a great impact on the result and they can turn everything apart.
Also, the assistant manager is responsible for managing the morale, picking the starting eleven for the tactic but it's been proven many times that even the best assistant manager is very poor at piking the team for many different tactics and he isn't capable managing any morale issue so it's like play roulette.
The standing is irrelevant and the points is only what matters
Obviously, as a central defender your DM should get higher ratings but overall it lowers the tactic efficiency.
Here're few tactics that are similar to your - 5 Defenders tactics

It won me the Scudetto, EURO Cup and Italian Cup.
Looks like a very good tactic.
Ok, I got it. Thanks.

I wouldn't not do that because I doubt they'll be testing your tactics if they see you delete them after it gets tested.

can you send your squad? You use v3.0?
Yes, I used Phoenix 3.0 tactic and sometimes the "Very Attacking" version when it was appropriate.
