I started with Blue as base, then tried to change a couple of roles and instructions, like team mentality or passing directness, before updating this one that gave me the best results. Sorry in advance if there are many tactics with the same shape, since it's based on a default formation of the game. Let me know what you think of it in the comments.

Oh! It's very similar to the tactic I'm testing now.:woot:  I'm testing an inverted winger version with a wide attack width.

In this tactic, does the large space between RPM and SS not cause problems?
pixar said: Nice tactic!

..and what is this skin? Can you send the download link?

i've sent you message.
ZaZ said: They might be almost the same, since it's common to use high rated tactics as base when developing new ones. I think Blue, Phoenix, Afterlife and a couple of other tactics might have variants in almost all shapes. It's hard to know.

About inverted wingers, @infxamus just posted a new version of his Universal with that role.

I got it. Your ZaZ seems to be a guide to a lot of tactics. thank you.
Chewbacca said: I remember Zippo somewhere said that they only test tactics that were added through their new tactic upload manager.

I guess you need to create a new thread for it if you want to see it gets tested.

Or, you might add v2 to this thread and add a new post with the results.

I'm really curious about the rating of new version!
Poacher said: @ZaZ, this tactic and Universal tactic looks the same to me.

What's the difference between them?

https://fm-arena.com/tactic/987-universal/

Maybe they're almost the same. @ZaZ , is it possible to use inverted wingers?
ZaZ said: I'll work on that. Gonna try to make some tactics using default shapes and see how it goes.

Probably it would also improve if DLP - De was moved to defensive midfielder instead of central.

Right. But, if you make such a change, it's not much different from 'Universal', already high rated tactic. (https://fm-arena.com/thread/1071-universal/)
commute said: Fm 21 is formation first.

Some formations don't just work.

You won't get a 6.0 with this shape.

With 442

With 451

And only scrape it with 4231.

Sadly.

I wanted to break something like stereotypes, with a formation that hasn't already been tested. This time, even my test results weren't bad.
From now on, in order not to be "brute-force cracking", I have to doubt my test process. Thank you for your advice.

Sad...

Rince said: I think you can get close to 6.0 with this formation if you change the FBs to IWBs

Thank you for your advice!! However, I doubt that there will be much improvement in that simple change. also, high possibility that the retest is not worth it.

Hi, It's a classic 4-3-3 tactic which did very well with Leicester City.
Holiday test conducted until January, and played the rest of the season with proper rotation.
Full holiday results of virtual test league were also satisfactory.

I'd appreciate it if this tactic is tested.

(Additional statistics are attached below)

-> I've added useful detailed Infos to the thread.
All these are data on Tottenham's holiday test winning season.

* ExG per Game : 2.21 / G per Game : 2.71
* ExL per Game : 0.81 / Loses per Game : 0.92
-> Both Goals and Lost goals are higher than expected value. But the ratio of expected to actual goals is quite higher than the ratio of expected to actual losses. It was very effective in attack.

-> The highest attacking efficiency proves above.

-> On the other hand, defensive efficiency is 3rd behind Manchester United and Liverpool. but it's not a bad rank considering Tottenham defenders.

* These are goal types and assist types.
-> It is not surprising that most goals were recorded in the box because of the "Work ball into box" guideline, but the large number of assists recorded equally in all directions is noteworthy.

The statistics above show that this tactic pursues interesting and attacking football.

(I'm happy that I got a higher rating than V1. This version of tactic reminds me of Simeone's Atleti 13/14 season:D)

* I also attached the 4-4-2 version, which has added some instructions but has not tweaked much. For those who want a better attack, please refer to it.

ZaZ said: Just don't be too zealous about it, since if everyone follows that sheet, there will hardly be many improvements for other stuff that didn't get good results yet.

I got it. Some of the tactics I've looked at have been pretty unfamiliar, but good results.
(like this tactic - https://fm-arena.com/thread/1362-yawn-by-egraam/)

In other words, the link sheet was made after many successful tactics done.
Thank you for your good advice, though.
-> I'm adding in a v3 to this thread.

First of all, I'm sorry for uploading tactics in a row recently.
This time, I tweaked my tactic 'Liar' by applying the side form of AFTERLIFE (by @Zealot).
Applaud his brilliant inspiration!

It was very successful for Tottenham. Chelsea's and Leeds' results were also good.

I would appreciate it if this tactic is tested. Thank you so much.:goofy:
ZaZ said: If you want other hints, I'd tell you to change your FB to either WB or IWB with support duty, since those two roles have better performance in this patch. The maximum score a tactic with FB got was 6.5, while WB and IWB were the only roles to score more than 7.0. For the same reason, you could also change your CD to BPD with defend duty. (P.S.: It doesn't mean FB and CD are bad, just that no tactic got good score with them yet.)

For more info about the best score achieved by roles and positions, you can check this link.

Great rating! now I believe it's true that data never betray. If I used BPD and IWB as your advice, I might have gotten a slightly higher rating, but it's enough.
I will usefully refer to your spreadsheet link when making tactics. Thank you.
I'm adding in new version to this thread:woot:

With the help of brilliant tacticians, I brought the last version of my tactic for RGA.
It did very well with both Leeds and Chelsea. All these are the holiday results!

Leeds qualified for the Champions League, finished 4th in the PL table.
Chelsea won the PL with 101pts, also Carabao cup, and Champions League, achieving treble.

I'd appreciate it if this tactic is tested. thank you.

ZaZ said: You have a big gap in the flanks because your FB don't go up and your W advance too much. Maybe changing the FB to support would help, as well as retreating the W from AML/R to ML/R, with the same role. That would give some extra balance since RGA isn't always in his position.

I totally agree with the important part you pointed out! I am conducting several tests of revised tactic as you advise. If the result improves dramatically, I will post the last version.
Thank you so much for your detailed advice.

dakiri said: Also, take a look at the actual results in the saves. For v1, in all 6 saves, at least one of your teams won the league, and you had the top 2 teams in 4/6. A score in the high 5s is still very good! It means that if your team's talent level is around average for the league, the tactic has a really good shot at giving you a title. The tactics in the high 6s or 7s will do that even if your team is below average for the league, and will make an average or better team dominate the league. But you certainly can run a tactic with a 5.8 rating and win every title.

Thank you for your kind words.:D
Brilliant tacticians on this site are amazing...! I have no choice but to give up improving this tactic.
I'm adding in v2 to this thread:)

* I referred to 'Valhalla' by @Pulsar, the best currently 4-1-2-3-0 tactic for FM21.

->After three tests with a top priority of reducing the goal losses, i succeeded in producing better results than v1.

1. Changed to a more stable form than extreme form of v1
2. Deleted 'pass into space' to reduce frequency of direct attacks.
3. Changed the attacking midfielder's role to focus only on scoring.
4. Regista rarely dribbles and focuses only on the key pass.
5. By broadening the attacking width, increased the frequency of channel penetration.

-> Holiday result on chelsea's first season was winning the PL with 102pts.(106goals/26losses/80g.d)

I'd like to know the test rating of this tactic.
Thank you.
commute said: This is your most enjoyable tactic.

I love love it.

Really hopes it gets a 6.5+ score

Thank you so much. but we still have to see if it works for the weak team.
Oh, really? good news! Like Soler in my game, hope Jorginho to record a lot of key passes.
commute said: He's back!

How does this one play?

Well... as you see, there's a great result in my game. but i worry about rating because of empty space between midfielders and defenders
"We are now living in the age of Jorginho"

It's just a joke:D

Since most attacks in FM Engine start from the side, I used fullbacks more defensively. so I could use creative 'Regista' without worries for instability.

Regista's creative passes provide a variety of attacks.

Valencia C.F achieved a double including Copa del Rey in their first season.

I would appreciate it if this tactic is tested.
