They operate in different ways, so my conclusion is a mere opinion.

How kind of you!
Besides the high quality of the tests, users like you are another reason why I like this website

Excellent tactic once again. Could you add this new set piece (by @Magician ) to your Liar (4-2-3-1) v1 tactic and upload it? Very curious to test and see the impact of this on the final result. Thanks!

Okay, I'm going to start adding a new set piece to Liar v1 right now.

Btw, it is not clear until it is evaluated whether this tactic is excellent. However, I can be sure that this play is the funniest tactic I've ever uploaded.

Thank you :D

That's a disappointing rating. I was really, really sure... lol

Based on the test league result in the screenshot above, this tactic looks very promising!

I played Brentford with the recent roasters(by pr0) and the roaster reflecting the promotion and relegation teams of the 21/22 season. Also, I have signed Lys Mousset from Sheffield United and Leonardo Fernandez from Tigres U.A.N.L.

In the first season of 20/21, Brentford achieved 3rd place with this tactic!

Ivan Toney was the top scorer with 27 goals. He was also a very good player in Football Manager.

In this tactic, Back-four swtiches to back-three, with the defensive midfielder moving like a more-active centre back during the build-ups.
The defensive midfielder is 'Lavolpiana', who plays HB in this tactic, and I have used Christopher Ayer as this positon, very successfully!

The screenshots above are the result of 23 games in the ongoing 21/22 season of my save file.
I've added a few more players,
and I've added a new set piece to this tactic as well(by @Magician).
It's a very successful season, and it looks very promising.

(p.s. Follow this link(https://www.fmkorea.com/3831753419), if you want to see a video clip in the field:))
Your set piece basically has more players in the box, so even if the ball doesn't reach the first target, there are still other targets preparing for the failure of the first attempt.

The success of your throw-ins are below :

1. The ball is thrown to the first set target.

2. The ball fails to reach the first target, and flows backward.

3. The second target receives the ball and passes it to another player in the box suitable for scoring.

4. Scored!

It's sad that I can't upload video clips :)

Also, here is a screenshot of me asking for permission back in March. Creator also said it's completely fine. If not, I don't make the video, it's that simple.

Most of the video views are from people who search for tactics on YouTube. It CAN also expose the site more if people download it from videos. Also, people get to take part in this community. So me "promoting my channel" isn't exactly a bad thing.

Don't worry too much about such a minority opinion :)

I think this unnecessary argument is inappropriate for this thread, with Zaz's brilliant tactic. Let's stop here, bro.
@Magician, Your new throw-in set piece works really well on my tactics than on my old ones. Thank you.
Lapidus said: btw, there're few videos that show how it works in the thread I linked

It's okay. I was able to confirm through the information in the post you linked, that something about throw-ins has changed within the 21.4.0 patch.
I'll apply Phoenix's first, and if it doesn't fit my tactic, should tweak it. Thank you.

As I checked, ZaZ's and Phoenix's were different.

Zaz's :

Phoenix's :

Oh, thank you:D
I think it's exactly what I'm looking for! I'll replace my old ones with Phoenix's and test them again.
When using the Long throw-ins, I frequently found that our throw-ins intercepted by the opposing defender and immediately exposed to the risk of counterattacks.

In additon, I found out that tactics without throw-in set pieces were also highly rated at the table as those with it.

Is there any experiment on the Long throw-ins effect, conducted in 21.4.0 patch?

Thank you so much for good feedback!

If you like this, you might like asymmetric version, too.

I've added Spurs' result under the same conditions with the above results.

fanatic is similar to this with a higher score but it's not as potent in attack as this, this deserves at least 6.8 rating

This tactic is quite unique and attractive in that we can expect so many goals from the strikers. so I also think that this tactic may have had to have a higher rating, as there are some arbitrary probabilities in FM-arena's testing process.

However, it is true that FANATIC is more stable in terms of defense. Looking at the test table's detailed figures, Inquisitor scored more goals(3.097) than FANATIC did(2.969), but not in  Goals Against.

I like this author's AFTERLIFE the most!! It is a tactic that has successfully led to challenging attempts, including the use of WM-AT. It is the only different formation among top-rated tactics. I think it was a brilliant attempt.
@Zippo, I added a new version that made a significant change to this thread!
'Spurs 2.0 asymmetric attack'

This rarely attempted form of tactic has really put me to the greatest effort, until it produces good results.

This is an asymmetric tactic that operates primarily in 4-1-4-1, sometimes in 4-3-3 formation, depending on the characteristics of SS.

It did very well with Manchester City!

Notably, Shadow striker, KDB won both the top scorer and the top helper.

Look at the pass map above, the direction of isolation depends on MEZ's preferred feet.

Since Bernardo Silva's preferred foot is left, isolation of passes are made to the left. and the SS on the right, KDB was able to score many goals.

Look at another pass map above(CA165 team's). If Mezzala's preferred foot is right(Sigurdsson), its isolation of passes operates to the right(opposite way around) and is effective for left Winger and Striker to score a lot.

If you look at the record above, the striker and the left winger could score the most goals.

On my test results, it looks very promising.
It was very effective not only for the strong team(CA165) but also for the weak team(CA140).

(Added result)

It also works with Chelsea.

All the results above are on holidays. No editor used, no adjustment of abilities or etc.
All the tactics made by this author are brilliant!

4-1-1-3-1 formation, asymmetric version of Underdogs 4-1-2-3.

commute said: Going to test this.

I love everything from you.

Especially the football your tactics play

I'm sure you'll get good results :) lol

Rated 5.3 ...? oh my...

Works like Thomas Tuchel's tactic.

Chelsea's result!

It did very well with Villa.

Watkins won the top scorer with 33 goals, and Grealish recorded the most assists in the PL.
I think it's a formation that no one has tested yet. It works not only for the strong team but also for the mid-tier team(Villa).
