Both players I mean the one who attacks the near post and the one who lurks at the near post have solid chances to score so it's hard to say. In general, they both should be good headers.
CBP87 said: Does that happen in game?

No way you can buy Mbappe and Haaland as West Ham in the 2nd season without cheating
Gratz!

It's the best 4231 tactic at the moment
Kerem tp said: To give an example fmarena test their tactics based on 2 teams with 160 CA but Team A has higher reputation to imitate top team and Team B with lower reputation to imitate underdog side

That was changed long time ago. In the latest version of fm-arena.com there's no difference between Team A and Team B.
cryptoly said: Looking good! Im gonna try it out. What are the best players to use as DW's? you move wingbacks up like Arnold Alba Cuadrado or more for wingers like Bailey or sancho?

I think you need just regular wingers.
TactocTestor said: Hi should i teach my anyone in my team the ppm like to switch balls to other flanks. Most of the highlights come from through balls/ set piece so im not sure how effective switching balls to other flanks would be.

From my experience, it doesn't make any meaningful difference so I wouldn't bother with it.

you always can upload it on any file sharing host and post here a download link for it... just saying :)
Grimlock said: 'Overlap' is a quite useless TI, the only what it does is increasing the fullback mentality about 5%. Most of time it's presence is unnoticeable. It has no effect on the forwards runs.

I must add it also slightly reduces the mentality of wide midfielders and set them "Hold On Ball" but all that is hardly noticeable. It really doesn't make any noticeable difference.
CBP87 said: what makes you say that?

One of the devs on the official SI explained me how it works. Also, I've tested it many times myself.
CBP87 said: How about sticking the WBs on defend duty but sticking overlap left and right so they still get forward?

This is a very good tactic. A quite high rating for a tactic with a striker.
Gracolas said: Well.. its not a matter of complicating things.. If you have 2 Shadow strikers with the same attritbutes in Speed, Agility, Dribbling and vision, CA will not let you which one is better for that position

If you have 2 Shadow Strikers with the same level for Speed, Agility, Dribbling, Vision, Balance, Anticipation, Decisions but one of them have a higher CA than the one with a higher CA is better
Gracolas said: Hi, so we all know that Pace + Acc are the META following by Agility + Dribling and Vision.

For the folks that play with Genie scout, may you share your weights by position?

I really don't understand why people complicate things.

Just look for available players with the highest CA then pick the fastest ones who also have high Agility, Dribbling and Vision. It looks quite simple to me. :)
ZaZ said: I thought Pressure, Temperament and Professionalism were useful to control the players body language. Don't they play worse when they get nervous or complacent, for example?

"Pressure" attribute is how well a player can handle comments of the opposition manager before the match.

"Temperament" attribute is how well react on what you said about his training level, performance level or how he react when you leave him on the bench.

"Professionalism" attribute is how hard a players train, it determines his development rate and how close his CA can be to his PA.
ZaZ said: There are also other factors that contribute to goals, like hidden stats.

If you mean hidden attributes then only "Consistency" and "Important Matches" are somehow involved into the calculation of match result.
ZaZ said: Finally champions, even though predicted 20th and with weakest players in the league! I feel like many results were due to opponents getting complacent since we were never favorites. For most part, I just needed to relieve pressure from players and they delivered good results. In the last matches, I thought I could lose it since my team couldn't win, but I ended up being champion without playing because opponents didn't win their matches either.

Funny enough, I also won FA Cup, even though I played with team B until semi-finals. For reference, team B was my team A from last season, with players around 100 CA (based on players sold). Maybe I got lucky to face weaker teams until semi-finals, then I managed to win with last matches with team A.

Now, time to take a short break and test some new tactics before going for UCL. I would also like to win the league with worst team in the first season, playing something like Elche or Fulham.

Great result, pal!
Mark said: I am loving all this discussion. I, like many, find all these discussions very helpful. My question relates to positions. I keep finding cheap Strikers with very good Pace, Acc, Agility and Dribling but no AMC ability. I am trying to retrain them as AMC SS, but do you think they are worthwhile playing straight away as AMC SS?

Here's the difference between "Natural" position rating and "Accomplished" position rating

https://fm-arena.com/tactic/875-phoenix-v3-0-decreased-pos-rating-from-natural-to-accomplished-across-all-positions/

The PPG dropped from 2.114 ( Natural rating ) to 1.976 ( Accomplished rating ) so it's about a 6.5% decrease, which means a player becomes about 6.5% less effective at a position if the position rating drops from 'Natural' to 'Accomplished'.

I don't know maybe FM-Arena will test more different position ratings at some point. For example, what's the difference between "Competent" position rating and "Natural" position rating.
I can understand @babemocni1988's feeling because I also have been fallen that trap many times.

Sometimes, you can have just an incredible season due to being very lucky and that makes you think that you've found an invincible tactic and it gives you false expectations, you start to think that in the next season your results must be even better or at least as good as they are in this season and when it doesn't happen you get very upset.

The RGN is huge in FM... so don't let any lucky results to trick you.

For example, I've played 2 matches with Man City vs Liverpool

In the 1st match I lost 2 : 0 and got dominated badly

Then I replayed the match using the same tactic and the same players and I won it 0 - 4 with great domination.

Zealot said: Hi,

You can try this tactic

Thanks, I'll give it a go.
