going with some strange 3atb

Zippo said: In this setup(where both DM slots are occupied) FBs that have the same PIs as IWBs would work 99% the same.

dunno why, but FB with cut inside doesn't move properly in undlerlaps, tending to stay on the flank until last third of the pitch
IWB does them right from the central line even with double DMs
p.s. or mb the problem is I don't watch highlights on comprehensive and just miss when FB does them too :)
CM instead of mez
IF on su

First and last (hope so) cancerino of 424 in this patch
Wingers on support, double pivot pair of DLP(de) and SV (a)
near post corner routines

from what I've seen in long saves in this FM,  top clubs buy 1-3 players for 1st team and bunch of youngsters for u21 every season
problem is starting, when they don't give those youngsters proper playing time to develop at club or at loan
but they keep buying wonderkids like crazy

I partially accept that unwilling to sell players on last year of contract is kinda a problem, at least for players, that are clearly far away from really helping a team to achieve our goals.
DoF's just trying to keep them until they starting to receive offers on free transfers at January, when he could get at least some small amount of money from selling them.
4231 counting on dribbles from every player
FBs, DMs on Take fewer risks, others on Risk more
corners only on near post

433 with everyone on dribble more
mezzalas on cross more + shoot less
+trying AF with risky passes

true, I've taken only pre-patch in consideration
going narrow upfront
Great thanks to @babemocni1988  for advice to make IWB less risky.
I definitely like them more in Zinchenko style
Wide flank play 433 with current meta IWB and DW + IFs
on DM I decided to stay with anchor mainly cuz I like what I see from Caicedo in that role in my Brighton save

that's just a very great result for strikerless nowadays
A tweak of what @Blau  and @Steelwood did.

Changed SPs
Removed underlaps
Standard line + Drop off
Anchor on DM position
Dribble more to IWBs and AFs
Less risk for IWBs and Anchor

idek0k said: Should I just turn off pressing and stuff like that with this tactic or create another one focused on that because this wouldnt work as a "save energy" tactic?

just make a copy of a tactic you like with turned off counter-press, counters, get stuck in, lower trigger press and tempo up to half
that will leave you with around 3/4 intensity which can save some energy while not becoming really weak
in more extreme way you can go even with regroup, hold shape and time wasting, but I just don't like these options
idek0k said: How to deal with the tactic sucking all of my player's energy?

happens with literally every gegenpress tactic after patch, just have a Plan B to save energy when there's no need to run and score goals anymore
remember there's difference between freezed FMRTE test and actual game, you just need to handle this :)
plus many have noticed that popular training schedules leave your players dead too, even with load only for fully fit players
trying to give it some attacking potential

Removed Underlaps and Focus Flank
Fixed positions on SPs (oh, how I hate SI for this, who'd have know)

One Volante to DLP (de), 2nd to attack + Move into channels
Removed Cross from byline from DW
BPDs on cover
+Dribble more on IWB
Lapidus said: Removing Take More Risks across all position won't make any difference because there's "Pass Into Space" TI that automatically turns on Take More Risks PI for all positions.

I just don't think there's a correlation between Pass TI and PI. Like with Run at defense TI which don't override dribbling PIs.
Just it's pretty easy to check the difference in amount of dribbles with PI on/off when TI is turned on, and not that easy with passes.
keithb said: With good teams this is amazing. With a big underdog the PI's give the ball away all the time, so many long balls up to no-one and then easy counter's for the opposition.

I'd just remove Take more risks PI across all positions. Dribble more is OK even for underdogs.
Cryns said: I wonder who's (generally) easier to retrain as a defensive winger, Wingbacks or Wingers.

wb/rwb is way more easier to retrain since they have strong foot for that side, which is rare nowadays for attacking wingers
Since IWB finally work I wanna try 442 with double volante.

When we need to make a difference I'd just go with switching Volantes to attack, but it leaves huge holes behind still, so it must be only situational, or if you're much stronger side in need to break the parking lot.
Moving d-line higher + switching IWBs to attack helps too.

WIth volantes on support it's just more a less conservative style without any all-out-attack approach.
