Since IWB finally work I wanna try 442 with double volante.

When we need to make a difference I'd just go with switching Volantes to attack, but it leaves huge holes behind still, so it must be only situational, or if you're much stronger side in need to break the parking lot.
Moving d-line higher + switching IWBs to attack helps too.

WIth volantes on support it's just more a less conservative style without any all-out-attack approach.

Seem DW is even more buffed. Still it will be a slight headache to teach players that position, cuz we’re lacking in natural MR/L, but this pays off. Great stuff

nah, the point is just to check if cautious can still work
Can this one be re-tested? Even though it has strange SPs and non-working "work ball into the box" xD
@Zippo  can I ask you to add this for 23.3.0 queue?
wanna see if this can progress forward due to definite improvements in AM zone after patch
classic 4222
DM zone on defensive duty to give some balance with attacking CWBs
looks even greater :)
trying one of my favorite shapes, since it seems this ME suits narrow formations finally

difference between home and away went even crazier tho

yup, mb it's a combination of high d-line and positive mentality plus the tactic doesn't have anyone at center midfield to disrupt counters
Mainly to try smth different to what was used during previous patch.
And while it's gonna get some time to figure out a new meta why not just stick with smth that works at least OK xD

It was my initial tactic at the start of FM23.
Sadly I didn't put it to test on FM Arena, so I've got nothing to compare with but anyway.
The tactic itself is kinda mix between smth I've took from @ZaZ  and Knap's tactics in FM22
SPs are from last year's ZaZ Green if remember it correct.

TIs just standard gegenpress with work ball into the box, PIs  - a lot.

trying some 4231, since it way more press oriented on current ME, than 433
was playing with mez or cm on attacking duty previously, but ended up with defensive cm/dm just with high d-line
switching between short kicks and roll out in distribution type during matches, depending on how much I wanna fast counters atm
Zippo said: As @Yarema said, by clicking the icons you aren't implementing anything, your're just changing between the views.

Btw, do you know that there are also "Personal" and "Position" PIs ( Player Instructions ).

It works the same way as it works with the OIs.

Every player can have his personal PIs that would apply only to him.

Just look it have the same icons and changing views style that you see in the OIs.

yup, I got it, just an awful UI :)
Zippo said: You don't see "Position" OIs in a match because by default in a match it shows "Player" OIs and to see "Position" OIs you need to click on the icon that switches between "Player" OIs and "Position" OIs

This:

Or this:

Once more, there 2 types of OIs: "Player" OIs and "Position" OIs. Both types can be set in a match and outside of a match.

If you are in a match then the only way to switch between two types of OIs is clicking on the appropriate icons.

When you outside a match then setting "Position" OIs is also available in the "Position" tab:

yeah, that's exactly what I see, so I have to select all players and use "position" OIs checkbox once, so they'll be implemented for all of them
or you think it works behind the UI anyway and it just a confusing way to show in-match?
Zippo said: There are 2 ways of setting OIs:

1) "Players" menu - it allows you setting the OIs specifically only against your next opponents. it resets before each match.

2) "Position" menu - it allows you setting the OIs against any opponent, it will apply against every opponent. It doesn't reset each time and you can set it only once and it should apply against each opponent.

Maybe this is just a UI bug,  but when I have OIs being set on “positions” tab, then in match it’s a blank space. And even if I manually set the checkbox “use OI” on position, and later this player is being subbed - I don’t have OIs for this position anymore. So the only working way is CMD+A on “players” tab before or in match and set “use OI” checkbox once for random player, so the positions settings of OIs would be translated for this exact match. And I need to do this every time.

going with FB on attack duty + cutting inside
still it's not I wanna see to be IRL like, but seem more close than anything else :)

+overlaps and flanks
+defensive corners setup from cadoni

Car instead of Mez or CM
WBs instead of FB
+ flank-plays and overlaps to further stretch in combo with carrilero
slightly F-ed up DLP by staying on pass shorter from previous BWM :/
full left flank to CWB and opposite one  for inverted wingers
just for fun
trying what Nagelsmann's doing at some matches
since FM doesn't give an option to set on/off the ball formations, let's set it like this to be max close to IRL

3atb with supporting WCB
DLP
IWs on (su), 1 AM on (su) and forward runs and double SS

Play out of D, work ball into box
High D-line

p.s. Bundesliga can't be an indicator for possession (and I want it to be pretty high), but at UCL seems pretty good, given the opposition we had this run
