Having proper attributes is the only what matters. There are many wingers, inside forwards, strikers and midfielders who will do great as the shadow strikers in the tactic.

Yup, I know that you can get such functionality by using 3rd party skins but as I said that functionality isn't officially supported for the Full Version and no one can give guaranty that it works properly in the Full Version so don't think suggesting to people using it would be right thing to do.

Yes, the formations changes can be easily spotted if you watch the match later but how can you find out what mentality was used? If I understand you correctly then you said you found out that Balanced mentality was used instead of Attacking or you was talking about something different?

I'm a bit confused here... as far as I know Match Plans are supposed to work only if you play a match on the Instant Result and they don't work if you play a match on Commentary or 3D mode and that looks quite logical to me because when you play a match on Commentary or 3D mode then you can change things by yourself and you don't need to give instructions to your assistant manager what to do in different situations.
But if you played a match on Instant Result then how can you check what mentality was used that match?

Match Plans only work with the Instant Result and the Instant Result is officially supported only in the FM Touch version so I use Match Plans only in the FM Touch version and it works correctly for me, I haven't been noticing any issues.

I think he'll do great at both positions LW and SS. Also, he's left footed and there aren't many good left footed wingers in the game so I would think of selling him only if I had few left footed winger who are better than him.
Also, it's very important to know that the MC position is one of the most important positions in the tactic because it greatly contributes in scoring goals and making assistance.
For example, in my test with Man City Kevin De Bruyne scored 44 goals and made 33 assistances at the end of the season, the MC position was among the highest scoring positions in the tactic.
So for the MC position you need a player who can score goals and make assistance.
I've got a tip for you that can bring the performance of Phoenix v3.0 tactic on the next level, at least it works that way for me.
So here's the tip. If you draw or lose with Phoenix v3.0 tactic after the 1st half then change the mentality to "Very Attacking" at the beginning of the 2nd half. It'll turn on "Berserk Mode" for the shadow strikers and increase the goals output of the tactic for about 30%! If you score and start leading then change the mentality back to "Attacking".
If you play the FM Touch version and use "Instant Result" then you can create these match plans.
IMPORTANT: Ask you assistant manager to make substitutions only after 70 min.

Just lower the Mentality, Pressing Intensity, Tempo and Passing Directness.
Also, it makes sense increasing the Time Wasting.
