Magician said: I'm a bit confused here... as far as I know Match Plans are supposed to work only if you play a match on the Instant Result and they don't work if you play a match on Commentary or 3D mode and that look quite logical to me because when you play a match on Commentary or 3D mode then you can change things by yourself and you don't need to give instructions to your assistant manager what to do in different situations.

But if you played a match on Instant Result then how can you check what mentality was used that match?

1.Some skin provide the extra function, that why I can used Instant Result and Match Plan in Full Version.
2. To tested if Instant Result worked in Full Version or not I can changed the 3rd Tactic to different formation and check the match later to see if It really changed the formation or not
Magician said: I really don't know whether Match Plans work in the full version or not and I also don't know how to test whether they work or not there so I think it would be better to refrain from recommending using Match Plans in the full version.

If you know a way how to see that Match Plans work in the Full Version then please, tell me and I'll take a look.

It's easy, if Im using the Instant Result in Full Version and set up like you. The in the first half, the AM will changed the mentality to Balanced ( but should be Attacking if you using Phoenix ) ( you will see this If you watch the match and select the Match Plan you created )
Or If Im winning 1 Goal in Second Half then It will changed the mentality to Balanced
It quite more complicated if you using Match Plan with Full Version ( which is unofficial supported )
Magician said: Match Plans only work with the Instant Result and the Instant Result is officially supported only in the FM Touch version so I use Match Plans only in the FM Touch version and it works correctly for me, I haven't been noticing any issues.

For Full Version It should be looking like this, you should add this to opening post
@Magician
If you set up Match Plan like this, for the first half the AM will change mentality to Balanced
ZaZ said: Try to add Blue 2.0 when winning 1+ or not winning. Not sure if that's the problem, but it shouldn't go to balanced ever. Bad programming there.

Yeah, so you guys have to be cautious about that.
Even when you are drawing or losing 1,2,3 goal or winning 1 goal the assistant will change mentality to Balanced
But still I have good result with it, so @ZaZ maybe have a look with Balanced mentality
Today I discoverd that If I only set the match plan like this

The AM will change the mentality to Balance instead of Positive during the game
Obviously said: updated OP with ME 21.3 tests

It's doing fine
ZaZ said: Just did a holiday run to see the impact of new patch. Results are still acceptable. I will run more tests to see how it's performing, then try to find some improvements in the tactic.
ZaZ said: Just started running new tests to collect data. Gonna start with blue 2.0 to see how it performs now. I can tell you I tried real strikers already and it performs worse, so we probably still go with AMC instead of ST.
I do think CM guy is performing better than the last patch ? or It just RNG ?
Pogba is crazy good at 7.50 rating for me now
ZaZ said: And I spent the week testing new stuff, all data lost. Yay!

Really unlucky xD, hope there will be some tactics with strikers
@ZaZ
If I want more attacking power, should I changed mentality to Attacking or Very Attacking ?
Mark said: The results from the test overnight were comparable with the best of Phoenix. Wanted to go back to playing for a while so am using Blue 2.0 with the Blue 3.0 set pieces. 4 games in with second season St Albans and have consolidated top spot in the Vanarama National League winning 4 in a row with the set up all against sides favoured to beat us, 9 goals to 2. Happy to run with this for a while. Might get back to some testing later in the week but need to play before other priorities cut in.

If anyone else has tested any of the set pieces from this thread please let us know how they went. I see that quite a few have been downloaded

Thanks in advance

You should instruct them otherwise they thought that was a tactic file:
First, Load the tactic you want
Second, Go to Tactics -> Set Pieces -> Routine -> Load All Routines -> Zaz3 -> This will load the Set Pieces
ZaZ said: It will be more precise if you run on phoenix, like the others, but also extra work if one or other position is off.

Who take the Corners and Throw In ? or just anyone with best atributes ?
ZaZ said: There are two things that I would test. First is to set DLP pass to shorter in player instructions. Second would be setting it to DM - Su to use the player instruction take less risks. Then  I would see if any of this improves the tactic or if they make it worse.

However, I am currently testing some new set pieces. Can you test those two options instead and tell me if any of them is any good, please?

P.S.: There's a possibility that it just can't be improved for this tactic, because of the role it plays. How many times have we seem a real life manager insisting in a player that the supporters hate, but he keeps saying that player is fundamental to the tactic?

Yeah I've tested and I do beleived It can't be improved
ZaZ said: Gonna watch a couple of matches to see if I spot something. I tried different roles for DM and only DM - Su had similar results to DLP - Su. That doesn't mean there isn't anything better, just that I couldn't spot the improvement. The low grades might just be because it's a transition role, doing short passes instead of key actions. If you check the numbers, it doesn't tackle much, it doesn't dribble, doesn't shoot or do other active actions, but it has a very high number of passes made per match, around double of other players. Maybe it just performs bad against teams with crowded midfield, or with good individual marking on him by some quality player. Anyway, I will watch in matches and see what causes the bad grades, but I have a feeling that it's just missed passes, since that position has the most passes made

I think It because all the key pass doesnt come from DLP. He only there for filling the hole between midfields and defenders
ZaZ said: Can you please open the page of your DM, then hover your mouse over reports (at the top) and click form? Then send me a print screen to analyze, please. Knowing what he is doing wrong will help finding a way to improve.
This is with De Jong
I've tried change to DM(De) - The goal concede is less but still get bad point.
I got 2nd with Fullham, only 1 point behind Liverpool
@ZaZ
Any ideas to improve DM position ? I even have De Jong played there but still ~6.8 6.9 point
gelasio said: if you have pure strikers in your team what you do with them? Do you try to trainning them to be shadow striker?

Train them in SS postion - with Double intensity and played them there during friendly games
Egraam said: They aren't the same, to be honest with Voila I even messed up one side of defensive corner, because I think I've loaded them from one of my tactics and didn't adjust them, so you have stuff like volante staying forward, or a big hole in the middle of the box where there are no players (to be honest I'm pretty surprised I've managed to get 7.0 rating with that kind of setup). Motion has much more refined set pieces, both defensively and offensively.

I have tried @Egraam "Hacker" set pieces on Blue 2.0 and It pretty good. Managed to get about 15 goals a season from corners
Try out Egram set pieces, he got good one

Mark said: @ZaZ I tried two hybrid versions of set pieces and neither advanced the Motion or Void set pieces. So I think I am now down to just testing those 2 and the Phoenix one in ZaZ Blue 2. Might also try the two hybrids as well - MDW above and another.

The hybrids seem to be working ok in my save game though

Also If you want to test the set pieces you have to set It manually every games.
Just like the set pieces from @Egraam tactics. Despite ML and MR have the TK settings but trust me you some games they wont take it.
