After some season now we are EPL champion (Predicted 6th). Next target should be C1 Cup

Here is our Key Player. He played well in both DM and MC Position

And Here is the Best Player in the World now. Does this player worth to buy for 107Mil ? @ZaZ cause Im planning to bring him in
ZaZ said: I guess you should look at it in a positive way. Every time you get beaten to a pulp, think how the hell a team as bad as yours managed to get to EPL. You should be proud of carrying those deadwood there.

Manchester United are such a good team in paper, but I doubt they will get anywhere this season. Solskjaer just doesn't look like a champion.

Sure dude, wasn't disapointing. 50M profit for one season is like magic happen to our team. I want to try out some hard challenge cause with Blue you can almost destroy any league if you have decent squad.

I feel Solksjaer is good in managing the team but not in the tactic aspect. He would be more fit in Assistant role
ZaZ said: Well, if you still have players on the 70's, then it's only natural that you are in the last spots. However, the money from EPL is too big compared to that of lower leagues, so even staying one year there and being relegated again will be worth it, allowing you to build a squad strong enough to survive next time you get promoted.

Yeah thats is my purpose for this season. Well It's a little bit suffering when watching your team get demolished almost every rounds. Now I know why people say EPL is so competitive
ZaZ said: It depends on how small is your team. If your team has an average of 90-100 of CA, it will be almost impossible, but you should still end the season around mid table, from 8th to 12th position. If your average CA is around 120-130, then you should challenge the title, as long as you don't let your players get fatigued.

The thing is, if you pick the worst team of the championship and go on vacation for the whole season, this tactic should make you finish around the 5th or 6th place (during the first season). That means if you manage the team yourself, you should at least challenge the title. However, when you come from lower leagues, you can bring a team way worse than those from EPL, because players don't want to move to your team (low reputation) and you don't have enough money (first season with the new budget).

In my run with Leamington (from the lowest division), I needed two seasons to win the EPL, because the first one was used just to rebuild the squad. I finished it in 10th with a squad of CA 90-100. When I won during the second season, my first team had CA around 120-130.

I also managed to easily win Brazilian first division with the weakest team, newly promoted, because the average CA of the league is lower.

I'm managing Harrogate for 4 seasons
1st season: Predicted 24th - End up 2nd
2nd season: Predicted 21st - End up 3rd
3rd season: Predicted 24th - End up 2nd

Honestly for the 3rd season I dont want a promotion cause I know my squad is not ready for the EPL ( the tranning ground is poor, doesnt have enough staff, squad CA range about 70-110, also small transfer budget for new season).
In the 4th season now Im still 20th and that is fine because this was pretty much predictable. Me and my squad is just here for the money ( we have Balance of 40M for one season now and that will help very much for next season ).
But I do think there is a large gap between Championship and EPL. Because with other save in other league like Bundesliga, I managed Kaiserlautern from 3.Liga to Bundesliga and the 3rd season we currently sit in middle of the table.
@ZaZ Do you think EPL is like really hard for small team?. I'm currently managing Harrogate and sitting at the bottom of the table haha. Predicted but dont think EPL would be this hard.
Maxeneize said: Do you know why the 2 ss dom't get green arrows as opossed of 2 strikers or 2 cms?

What green arrow do you mean ? Morale ?
I did know this before but too lazy to set up individual trainning xD
Poacher said: @debelizec19, if a young player don't participate in competitive matches then he won't develop or he'll develop at a very slow rate so participating in competitive matches is the most important thing for the development

You can do this by going to team selection screen - Filter - select U19/U23. And after that you can choose quick pick or manually pick the players form the youth team. This will give them some playtime with first team.
Middleweight165 said: The reason I said Comet rather than Fanatic is because I want to play with an AM and a ST. After the first season I will change to ZaZ Blue 3.0 and sell the ST

If the ST is good and you move him to ST position. Maybe your team even perform better compare to 2 AMC version. Remember player quality also contribute to how well your team is performing.
If the ST score a lots then just keep him. Dont need to sell him anyway
Middleweight165 said: Why do you think they would be better?

Cause base on Blue 3.0 2 AF which score 6.6 (less than FANATIC 0.2 points). But still I think if you do have great, fast striker. Maybe the AF tactic would fit you more and can earn more points
So now strikerless is cheating xD
Middleweight165 said: Even if he has no rating at AMC?

I even retrain McTominay to play MR-DW and Fred to DR-IWB(Su). So there's nothing impossible. Just try to have as many as possible friendly game and let him play at the new position.

But if the ST is slow then just sell him or loan him away
Middleweight165 said: I think this is important for long term saves. When taking over a club they usually a have top influential ST. It would be good to play first season with a ST, let him bang the goals in and sell him the next summer and move to the Strikerless formation

I think you dont need to. Just play many friendly games before season start, setup trainning and let him play at the new position. Wouldn't take that long to make him comfortable at SS position.
ZaZ said: @ta2199, now you can say for sure Fanatic is the best tactic with strikers. Possibly something to do with the wingers, maybe DW have a harder time to cover the gap behind strikers.

didnt think that it would decrease the grade from 7.2 to 6.6. Pretty surprise actually
ZaZ said: I don't think it will be much different from Fanatic, but running to post results.

I think you need to make a new topic for it. It will be the best new ST tactic, maybe about 7.0
Cuz Phoenix was 7.0 and Fanatic is 6.8. So I think the same will apply to this AF tweak.
ZaZ said: They are very similar, but I believe DW are more consistent. It's like DW can go from 6-8 in performance while W-Su goes from 5-9. In both cases, the average is 7. (Hypothetical performance, not in game scores.)

Hey @ZaZ, can you create a new tactic with 2 AF ( with the same PI's like SS) ?. I just wanted to see which grade that tactic gonna get. I think It gonna be 7.0
pgsonline said: Firstly, congratulations on the tactic. It clearly is working so well for others and the results I see are amazing.

I'm having some mixed results with it to be honest. I will add that I'm in the Croatian league with no money - so no Messi or Salah for me!. So I'm aware nothing will come easy for my team. I do consistently win the league now, but have hit a brick wall and no matter what better quality players I bring in, I cannot make that jump into being a European contender.

Even with a reasonable squad, I'm not dominating games in my league. Winning yes, but despite shouts and team talks and rotation, the games are quite laboured. The real frustration I'm having is with the wide players - and to be fair. this tactic is not alone in this. Not matter how quick, or good at dribbling, they seem hell bent in running into dead ends. True, they win corner after corner, but very rarely do they deliver anything in the game. I've tried removing 'cross from byline' but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is this something in FM21? I last played on FM19 and wingers seemed much more effective there, easily getting double figures in goals and assists. Is anyone else having this frustration? When the highlight goes to the flank, I know there is a 90% chance nothing will happen apart from getting a corner. I should add, this isn't a complaint and I can see from the thread what a good tactic this is. It just seems to be missing a 'spark' and I wonder if it is the wing play that makes me most frustrated. I'm thinking about ditching my wingers for good!

Any tips?

I currently have a save where I play team from country with alphabets order ( Algeria, Bulgaria, Belgium, ...). And I haven't struggling a lots like you describe. Also It depends on the team you managing, like you managing a team with media prediction 12th then when the season end, you end up like 7th to 6th is fine to me. Because your squad is weak and doesnt have that many players to rotate.
If you can, just upload the save and let me see if I can do anything with that :D
Egraam said: There was an issue with the script when it comes to choosing the players from the right positions: for example AMC showed Ansu Fati who is AM(RL), ST (C) - because the script looked for AM and then (C). I've managed to fix that, hopefully there aren't any other bugs - https://www.mediafire.com/file/317r4hohdxideri/player_ratings_2.rar/file

I've also included scouting view (Scouting Attributes.fmf) which works the same way as attributes view:

Just remember to copy without "sigames.com" at the bottom (or you can copy with it, just remove it from the excel file).

The advantage over Genie Scout is that Genie Scout shows you all the players in the game - even those ones that aren't interested in coming to your team - while here it will only show players from you player search - so you can choose only the ones that are interested in transfer or loan

I cant use the Scouting View with the app ?
Mark said: Click on the column heading of Club and it will sort by club. You could read the user guide at https://www.fmscout.com/a-genie-scout-guide.html

yeah I know but I was looking for how to do it with filter so I dont have to scroll down to whole bunch of other players from the same league.

Egraam said: You mean to see those ratings inside the game? I don't think that's possible, you'd need to  somehow modify the game probably, and what I do is pretty simple - I check for player's position, then based on their position there are different weights and attributes (they are from @Mark's table). Here is an example for Central Defender:

What I do is I multiply attributes by weights and add them to each other (so Decisions*0.13+Positioning*0.10...+Pace*0.08). The last step I do is I standardize the data, so ratings for all the positions are on the same 1-20 scale (I multiply the rating by 1/sum of weights for selected position).

You could do all of that using calculator, just looking at player's profile inside the game, it's just a lot of work to do that for the whole team/multiple players so I wrote a script to do it faster.

UPDATE:

I've also simplified the process of importing data, so you won't have to click as much.

Now all you have to do is name the html file "data" (file that you were getting after pressing ctrl+p on all selected players, and copying data from into excel) and put it in the team_selector folder (the same folder where there was previously an excel fille).

This is the html file I'm talking about:

And you should put it here (just replace the file that is there):

Here is the link to the updated version - https://www.mediafire.com/file/r78zzz56s87wdqp/player_ratings_3.rar/file

The excel version is still valid, this one just saves you a couple of clicks, because you don't have to copy the data into excel.

Tks for the effort and time you put into this :D
Mark said: The higher the Genie Scout rating the better the player based on the position. See post #48 on page two of this topic - it explains it for you

How do you sort by club?
