Hi again, I have slightly amended the tactic just to see how it would do with volantes instead of the regular DMs.
I have tested this with two teams, Watford (predicted 1st) and Birmingham City (predicted 24th) and here are the results
As you can see, Watford got automatic promotion on a respectable 97 points. However, Birmingham exceeded all expectations and managed a 3rd place finish. They lost to Boro in the playoff final
Thought I'd also leave this here to show that Birmingham were very unlucky in not getting promoted automatically. I feel this is slightly better than the other version of this tactic that I uploaded.
Hi all, I have another tactic to share which has taken inspiration from those at the top such as "Corsair" and "Big Bada Boom"
It's very similar to the other tactics at the top of the testing tables. However, it is strikerless. I tested it with PSG (I know) and Ajaccio, who are predicted 20th in Ligue 1.
As you can see, PSG won the league by 20 points as they often do in these tests. However, Ajaccio finished 10th, a whole 10 places above their pre-season prediction. You will also notice the insane rout of PABLO SARABIA who ended with the golden boot from the AM position. I think Neymar would have won the golden boot if he had played as a shadow striker for the whole season, but he often played on the left.
On the topic of newly-promoted underdogs Ajaccio, we can see that they actually had the 5th most expected points in the division.
By all means, use this tactic for yourself and I'd love to see strikerless formations become the meta for this year like it was on FM21
It's a fairly simple 4-3-3, like the meta from last year. It becomes a 2-3-5 in possession and the striker sits some way off waiting for the ball.
These are the results that the team got. As you can see, it made top 4 in the EPL and qualified for the Champions League. Also went on good cup runs with a semi-final appearance in the FA Cup, as well as finishing runners-up in the Carabao.
Here are some player statistics. Interestingly the AI manager didn't fancy Mitrovic so Carlos Vinicius usually got the nod. The standout here is the incredible season from Andreas Pereira, but bear in mind he was on set-pieces
I've looked through your other posts and comments on here and it seems that you post really unhelpful stuff on people's tactics a lot. I would recommend touching grass
Here's the tactic. It is a similar shape to the best tactic from last year but uses two AF instead of the shadow strikers. The corners have the CBs at the near post with the strikers at the back post, also aimed at the near post
Tested with PSG to see some ridiculous numbers, holidayed throughout the entire season. We only dropped two points all season along with scoring 159 in the process
We also beat Bayern in the CL final, accumulating over 5 xG in the game
Here are some player stats for the season. Mbappe spent the whole year playing as the AF, as did Messi. Neymar played on the left as the DW mostly
Please tell me what you think and feel free to try it yourself
