Creating a specific thread to trial & error 4-3-3 tactics until something good comes out of it.
Can't say I'm super excited with 'ImSorry_4-3-3' but its the best I can come up with at the moment, and would point in the right direction on how to further develop this tactic. Test results for 'ImSorry_4-3-3' as attached
P.S. BvB / RBLeipzig are difficult to test in German league as 'underdog' title challenge team because BvB is littered with injuries and Nkunku gets automatically sold in Jan-2023 (LOL!)
opq said: I'm bit exhausted with 3atb tactic tweaking, so lets get exhaust with 433 (or 451 if someone prefer to count insides as midfielders)
Back to initial tactic for start of FM23, but now with latest approach I tried with 343 tac
It's just sad that my favorite formation is slightly shredded its productivity this year, mainly because of mezzalas' nerf. So gonna try it without them but with BBMs.
crizeKOS said: Idk, we tested alot of stuff now and we have to w8 like 1 week to get something out. This is like punishment hahaha. Im kinda bored about the cosmetic stuff that is on the game I feel disappointed. I dont know if i will keep playing, mostly now coz my new born daughter. Expand
Congratulations ! She will at the same time be the most precious and frustrating thing in your life right now... Kinda like FM
opq said: for someone he knows who NOT THIS STERIL version sadly, it can't be 3 Volantes at once, so at least you'll get 2 of them xD it wouldn't be me if i didn't try to sterilize tho, so AM goes to CMat, still it's more then attacking role Expand
Justice for Okoli and Haaland Lite ! They should be first team starters
StoneFree_5-2-3 Hi FMArena team, appreciate your help to test new tactic 'StoneFree_5-2-3'. Tactic is based off 'Soft&Wet_4-2-4', so credit is due to @Chocorelo19 and @Delicious for inspiring it.
Thank you in advance !
Test results for AthleticoM, Atalanta and Liverpool (holiday w/o transfer)
Cherknam said: Have you tested all the PIs for the IWs? I have this amazing one but can't seem to get him to average more than 6.8 unfortunately Expand
On personal games I tweak the PIs to suit the individual players as the season goes on; You can get plenty of insight from DataHub, watching the actual match play out, and (dare I say ?) giving the suggestions from your AssMan some thought
I do apologize if this is not the answer you're looking for, but its my honest opinion
Vitinha said: I tried this tactic with wb (support) and changed their instructions: Added cross more often, stay wider, cross from deep. Also added tactical instructions : Hit early crosses, whipped crosses. Results were brilliant, trashed Liverpool (5-1) and Real Madrid (3-1) with FC Porto. Felt extremely good xD. The 4 guys in front benefit a lot of the early crosses and AF usually end up in 2v1 situations in front of the goal. Expand
Love that idea ! Would you mind uploading the tactic here to test ?
Jack Kemp said: adding 'work into box' did wonders for my Brighton side, very strong during away games. a draw against 2nd Man City, and beat top league Liverpool twice. strangely enough i struggle playing home especially against weaker teams, beaten by Leed and bottom table Bournemouth both at home. but anw, im curious have anyone tried using WB instead? are there any huge differences? Expand
Not sure about 'WBs', again feel free to tweak this tactic to death to test it here. We will benefit as a community in the end. From personal testing 'Work into Box' tended to have the players passing the ball even within the penalty box instead of shooting which annoyed the heck out of me LOL
Side note : Leeds and Aston Villa are my bogey team... those matches are annoying af
Miles said: Very good work.I was wondering if I change one of AF to F9, does it make a lot of difference? Thanks. Expand
No idea how F9 will affect it, but I have seen exact same tactics changing AF to PF and somehow doing worse. I highly encourage folks to tweak the tactic and post it here for testing
opq said: it's not that hard, u ONLY need 3 good CBs and at least 1 decent for rotation xD WBs are crucial, but everyone can cross the ball in this ME really, just not everyone can def properly
Pool run with main sub WBs with 19 and 17 assists Expand
Inspired to pick up my old 3ATB tactic to tweak it around, some early test results
opq said: Aight, going back to real testing and not finding if something is just cosmetics or not
2 versions of balanced 3412 1: pretty base 2: when we're comfortably winning just to stop WBs from going byline and prevent unnecessary risk
added hold position for DMs to not reverting them in def mode but still be a little cautious with their movement as we already have 5 men upfront going through center as we're on strong side here due to player count but still with overlaps for help from WBs distribution just by rolling out to CBs as there were many longthrows to flanks where WBs were already under pressure getting the ball removed Tackle harder PI from AFs as this really no need to, as they mainly intercept balls and not killing opposing defs anyway
PS. it's AM and not SS just because my AMs at main save are slow turtles and would be awful SS. Could be easily swapped. Don't swap WBs to CWBs as you already have many players at central zones, and CWBs tend to move in half flanks often, so u just lose width which sometimes is crucial to stretch defense. Expand
God speed man, getting a reliable 3ATB tactic is the hardest so far
+/-3 on both end
Yeah I was thinking along those lines too ! Am stuck filling in the CM roles atm though
