PIs: See attachment below
OIs: None in general
Player attributes and training: refer to the excellent post by @ZaZ : https://fm-arena.com/thread/2702-zaz-fire/

Some personal notes and hints(?) for future tweaks :
1a) Set Pieces: Attribute 'Free Kick Taking' is a nice to have for IFs or SVs - just make sure to update the set-piece routine accordingly
1b) Set Pieces: As a fair warning, if you are going to use this tactic as a basis for other formations, make sure to update / check the set-piece routine accordingly
2a) OIs: None in general as it tends to be opponent specific
2b) OIs: Listen to your AssMan on 'Focus down Left/Right', I ignore the rest

Nice (almost) clean sweep ! Though I will be the first to admit the Premier League win had an element of luck with it, very rarely I see ManC & Liverpool scoring less then 80 points
Cherknam said: Would you say it's smart to switch from DM to DLP(de) when you have top players, to get the most out of the DM's technical abilities?

(obviously still with prioritising endurance and speed)

I think... we tested swapping DM to DLP it had minimal to no effect as long as the PI remains the same
gilly90 said: nice, loads of goals! Really struggles away from home against teams that are a similar level to yours

Thanks ! Yeah, still gotta play the rest of the game to make the most out of it.
Out of curiosity, what team are you playing using it with ? Would be worthwhile adding such teams to my personal testing when tweaking tactics

Thanks as always to FMArena team for testing !

Let's gather more data!

LOL, data is free for all here !
Soft&Wet_4-2-4
Hi FMArena team, appreciate your help to test new tactic 'Soft&Wet_4-2-4'.
It a tweak based on @Chocorelo19 'Prometheus' and @Delicious recent TIs.
Set Piece routines also fixed up for it.

Thank you in advance !

Updated with test results for Atalanta (holiday w/o transfer), to be able to get 80+ points in the Serie A is fantastic IMO - so whatever the results from FMArena are, test this tactic is definitely usable
Cherknam said: ok cool thanks, would you say pass + vision is more important for DM (you know being a ball player) or tackling + marking (more of a destroyer)?

Nahh, dont get too hung up about those stats. Focus on quickness + endurance.
FK taking is a nice to have bonus if you can get it (tailor your set piece tactic such that he'll always be taking it)
Tactic name alone is worth 50 points, LOL :D
Cherknam said: What are the most important stats for DM (other than endurance)? Also, did you test with "shoot less often" PI on IWBs - I changed them to have it as they were missing chances left, right and centre.

Pace & Acceleration is king. Yeah I did that, but they seem to shoot never the less.
Thank you team ! :D
StarPlatinum_5-2-3
Hi FMArena team, appreciate your help to test new tactic 'StarPlatinum_5-2-3'.
It a tweak based on @Delicious '4231 Simple Positive Headache v2' TI... that seems to work well enough on a makeshift 5-2-3.

Thank you in advance !
Now try it with a PF (Attack)
Cherknam said: Sorry to keep bothering you, but how do you do the training? Do I just import ZaZ's schedule in the 'Schedules'? Or is there something else I need to do to get them to train properly? Because I import ZaZ's schedule but it doesn't show up on my calendar for training

No worries, once you import the schedule you need to click 'Save' on the bottom.
Next when you go into your training 'Schedule', you need to individually select it under 'Custom Schedule' for EVERY WEEK of the season... if you figure out how to make it the default training schedule for the whole season let me know ! Will save ~10 mins of my life every season
Cherknam said: Okay thank you. Just out of curiosity, other than endurance and speed, what stats should I look for in my DM? tackling, marking, passing etc?

Free Kick is nice to have to bang in an extra goal or two.
Well... You could say this tactic is... Unworkable

Base Tactic: XMas_twkd3 - https://fm-arena.com/find-comment/16759/

Changes made to the base tactic:

- I've this friend of mine that created a custom tactic league (nothing compared with the job ur guys are doing here). Today he ran some tests that I asked him and the only thing that managed to improve Xmas_twkd3 was a Trequartista in the SS place. For that reason I'm asking u guys to test this to be able to ratify the tests we ran in the last hours and the fact that shadows strikers are hugely nerfed in FM23. @MemorizableUsername notice that too, if im not mistaken. That something that feels weird in wide diamond tactics, and is the SS role.

- I tried a holiday run with Chelsea and this time the role was able to perform rly good, being the best position of the season.

Anyway... as we saw today by the forum results some guys rly improved their wide diamond shapes with AMs

One thing I would like u guys to take notice is that TQ has the same level o press triggerin than SS despite he have the PI "easy on tackles" hardcoded. Furthermore if u compare the 3 positions TQ would be somehow a midterm in terms of attacking role...

Also I can't live my FM Fantasy with Arda Guler playing as SS ;)
Cherknam said: Absolutely brilliant tactic mate, appreciate you sharing it. Are there important differences between the attributes needed for the two CBs, given that one is cover and one is defend? Also does ZaZ's training schedule work for developing young players? thanks

Nah not really, you would (ironically) notice the 'Cover' CB will make marauding runs into the opponent's half / final third with the ball (like what Matip does in Liverpool); reason for this is they have the player role 'dribble more' without 'hold position'.

ZaZ training schedule works fine, though for young players its more important to have playing time and individual training emphasis on quickness.
Totally agree, that's why there should be an emphasis on choosing a tactic to suit your team rather then building a team around a tactic (No harm wanting to build team team towards a 'meta' tactic, but that should be a long term goal)

The performance difference from tactics scoring 55+ here are well within standard deviation and are more then likely to work out all the same IMO
