LaXatiif said: Thanks @CBP87 ! I should then keep the Attacking mentality and only add a few tweaks when leading or facing top teams (reducing tempo, removing GK press, etc)?
With these instructions, would you then say that this v3.1.19 is a less "risky" version of the v3.1?
Sorry, but what do you mean with "Tackle harder for me all depends on the quality of player you have, But when I'm an elite team I do often remove tackle harder" ? Can you explain why it is important and quite common to use this instruction? Expand
In terms of being risky I would say its less risky purely based on the fact that less goals were scored in this test (-2 from v3.1)
Tackle harder encourages your players to be more aggressive in the tackle, risking the chance of more disciplinary actions against them, but with tackle harder and get stuck in I often find the player jumps into a challenge and could potentially miss the tackle leading to a space opening up which the opposition can exploit.
Being an elite team, teams will often play on the counter attack meaning if your players are jumping in and missing the ball then not only are you short at the back because your players are potentially up the field, hence being countered, but you've also potentially got your remaining defending players jumping into challenges which could lead to spaces in your defensive line being exploited.
On the other hand, getting stuck in and tackle harder can also disrupt your opposition as you're more likely going to commit fouls which will allow you to get players behind the ball again
LaXatiif said: @CBP87 Like for Katana 4231 100p v3, would these changes work on a Positive mentally? What about removing tackle harder from all roles? Cheers Expand
I would say positive mentality should work, but I haven't tried it. Tackle harder for me all depends on the quality of player you have, But when I'm an elite team I do often remove tackle harder
nurderbvb said: great tactics, thanks man. just wondering, how is a tweak looking like for bringing home a game when leading with 1-2 goals from 70th minute onwards? Expand
I haven't uploaded a tweak of that nature mate as it wouldn't perform well in the test. But I would say reduce your tempo, remove prevent short GK distribution. You pretty much want to remove any instructions that involves your players leaving their designated positions. Try to create a wall that is capable of keeping hold of the ball
That's the first time I'm gonna test a version of Katana tactic (and also my first post here).
I came here because I'm having trouble this FM version to make my tactics work and I really need to revert my situation at Schalke 04 in february 2024.
I know I'm too far from the playoff positions, but I hope I can do it just a little bit better. I will share my final position and compare the first stage with the second one. This is my first stage with some different tactics:
I want to ask you something. Is there something special about the Opposition instructions? Should I leave them empty, or to my assistant coach?
Thanks! Expand
Hi,
I leave opposition instructions alone, I don't leave them to the assistant manager either.
The Lone Wanderer said: National league North. Great tactic. I love to play but don't have a clue about making a tactic so i use created tactics to fill in that gap and i can do the rest.
Also used the Set-Pieces that someone mentioned earlier in this thread. Saw an immediate improvement on set-pieces once included.
Thanks for the tactic. Expand
cracking result, what set piece routine did you use?
Changes- Removed dribble more and run wider with ball from FB Added shoot less often to CB Removed take more risks from DM Removed hold up ball from AM
AlexBote said: super tactic! just one question. The DM role's can be changed without affecting the overall tactic effectiveness? I was thinking of a DLP and a BWM Expand
Changing the roles would impact the effectiveness of the tactic in my opinion, but if you have the players to do it then I would say go for it
Changes- Removed run wider, shoot less often and stay wider from full backs Removed take more risks from DM Removed sit narrower from IF Removed move into channels and roam from position from AM Added dribble more to AF
I really tried to figure out what happened here and what you say but it's too complicated so I failed.
I can say only one thing every thread must have correct screenshots and if there's something wrong just fix it and it's the end of story.

Apologies, haha, I've uploaded the wrong tactic and the screenshots I've uploaded are for the 99p version. Ill update the screenshots for this one and create a new thread for the other one.
@Droid can you change the name of this tactic please from 99p to 97p
I'm really sorry, @Gianaa9 is correct, I have uploaded the wrong tactic, the screenshots are correct apart from the tactic screen and the changes referenced are correct but the submitted tactic is wrong, Am I ok to upload the correct tactic on a new thread using the above screenshots bar the tactic one?
What would you like me to do with this one? Do you want me to run my own test on the 104p v3.1.17 and upload the screenshots for that one?
