Just wondered how close to the new season you usually leave it to confirm your new squad and signings. Most of my players from last seasons contracts are up in a week and dont want to run the risk of losing anybody decent enough to stay in the league above? 😬

To be honest, you can start hiring as soon as league is over, which increases your reputation and allows you to hire new players. I usually try to choose who stays and who goes before pre-season, but sometimes some transfer goes wrong and I keep trying to hire someone deeper in pre-season.

About renewing contracts, I never leave players with less than six months unless I'm planning to replace that player. However, if some player has only one week of contract and no one tried to hire him yet, then it's very unlikely that you will lose him to some other team.
WesleySniper said: Will this tactis be tested? I wonder if it is better than Blue 4.0 or not.

It's probably not better, and I think it will be tested after others that are in the queue.
Nabby1987 said: Gave this a whirl, granted its Bayern but 31/2/1 with 132 goals, 26 against
Only change I made was to suit Lewandowski, CF instead of F9, he got 44 all comps

Thank you for testing!
leopfv said: Hi my friend! How are you? First, congratulations for your tatics. Best of FM right now. Because of it I have a request if got interest:
this tatic is a beast for the striker. Score loads of goals. But it's not very good. Could you try to improve it and keep de amazing striker performance? Thanks in advance!

I guess it's better for you to create a thread for that, so more people can help. It would also help if you put a picture of the tactic so people can give some input.
avonseller said: What tactic specifically did you run with each team in the tests or were they both rotating throughout the season? That 3331 looks interesting, one of my fav shapes

The one with two strikers.
I just hope the war ends and Russian can get rid of Putin, their dictator.
Yellow updated with two versions.

It just doesn't work with

SK (sup)

IWB (sup) 2CDs or 2BPDs - IWB (sup)

Regista or RPM

2CM (sup) or 1 BBM (sup) + 1 RPM (sup)

2IW (sup)

F9 (sup) or PF (sup) or TF (sup)

Why even bother about having defenders? Go all the way with wide defenders on support and a libero!
After the success of Positive Tiki Taka - CMs (Attack), many people asked me to update Green to use IF-At after the patch. There it is, as well as a variation with SS instead of CM.
This is actually better with IF-At and F9, as someone posted before.
Bradjc94 said: Has anyone tried this with the new Match Engine? The changes to IF's should, in theory, have made this even better.

Just checked on transfer history, he came on a free transfer from Gala FR, most likely from a non-professional contract. It showed on Scouting > Players screen together with other free players.
I heard those shaolin tactics have some impossible instructions. I wish I knew how to do that.
Metal said: Well done ZAZ, Blue 4.0 works incredibly on new patch. Only lost 2 games in ALL competitions did change wingers to IFs on attack which worked out.

Thanks for testing!

I have tried IW and IF instead of W and all have similar results. I also tried IWB on support duty and DLP defend instead of RPM and all are also very similar. That means small changes to roles don't have a huge impact, so feel free to adapt to your preference.
WesleySniper said: @ZaZ I highly respect your opinion. I happily use your tactics, training and hints etc. Thanks for all.

I want to ask you that how do you train your team during the international breaks? Secondly, what is your training intensity scheduling?

Thanks!

About international breaks, I usually do friendlies, give vacation to the team or make a mini pre-season, depending on the time and how my fatigue is.

About training intensity, I'm usually leaving it as default to avoid injuries, but double intensity like in your picture is fine if your squad is deep enough and your focus is on developing players. You also have the option to use double intensity individually, selecting only players that you want to develop (youth) and those that are not playing as regularly, but that might be too much micro-management to many people.

Sorry, results weren't very good so I'm trying other things.
olliw said: A tweak of positive tikitaka tactics. All credit goes to the original creators. I changed the false nine to an advance forward and inverted forward to inverted wingers.
Got some decent results. Took Newcastle to 4th. 2nd in go scoring. Please test this tactic if possible. Thanks.

You need to create your own thread for the tactic to be tested. The structure of the post is fine, but it can't be inside someone else's thread.
I'm now revisiting Red to see how it can be improved to work in the new patch. Red is supposed to use wingers cutting inside instead of outside like Blue, so I'm setting it with IF-At and a single striker. The current version in test has a 4231 shape.
Wardie37 said: I've noticed particularly after the latest update a lot of 65% possession and 48 shots to their 1 coming away with losses and draws. Do you have any tips on how to avoid this or changes shouts during a match where this is happening? Or is it down to the good old getting FM'd randomness?

Like Sandro said, you can't do much about it. If you had the ball most of the time and shot 48 times, then the tactic can't be blamed, it definitely did it's job. You just got FM'ed.
Nikko said: But let's say you're Norwich and you lead by 2-3 goals vs Liverpool and in this case I really don't want use anything "light" and I'd rather to use something "rock solid" and "time wasting"

Can't have tactics for all situations. Waste time is good for that, but it will drop performance.
