Trying a 532 version just the same tactic just moved the WB in the FB strata, defense is more solid, based also from prev patch is very close in points but will see cause this has no libero stuff
Same tactic just with balanced mentality, the test itself is fantastic cause the team had only 12-14 players all season with all others were just those fake regens with 0 star stuff and still managed 2nd this shows the potency of any 45+ rated tactic in this ME.
Removed play out of def TI and wide TI and added PI take more risks in WB's my last try with attacking mentality nothing can be done to this shape anymore
Scored quite nice and missing some meta stuff, can you try it with all meta PI and TI this shape ? also maybe trying it with IWB(a) and wingers to see the drop or change
Based alot on Stuaret who has tested this shape alot in this version, just tried to merge to make my 3-5-2 and to try to use 2DM which are meta in FM since years and the offensive part looks cleaner
I returned to the tactic and shape 352 which is most stable with DM, and just removed some PI and added play out of defence TI and wide TI to test this

4-2-3-1 (Out of Possession)

3-2-4-1 (In Possession)

I think IFB doesn't have dribble more PI which i think affects alot in meta stuff dunno why they and the WCB(d) made it impossible to set it makes no sense, i mean i want an IFB but i want to mould it to be also line breaker not just backpasser, also interesting the IW i also like it much more than wingers which stay wide and sleep on the sideline rarely making a run inside or behind useless

A good rotation is key for a good season.

Before 10 years or so rarely teams rotated i mean if you see top 11 in teams is the same every match, i think todays football is much faster and demanding than football in even 2000s let alone the memes of 1990s, 1980s when few teams pressed others walked even i could make it in those times today is super demanding all top coaches have said it huge difference
WB to DW attack is amazing in this too 151 goals is my record here and defense was same as the one before.
CM(S) to CM(A) in the middle one, also lots of pi changes and added look for overlap, attack is insane i think it has big potential for GF, got players having 25+ assists and is a crossing simulator tactic
Yeah it is worse than any tactic i think as a shape, maybe trying a flat 3 man midfield can help to spread the width in midfield cause with that narrow midfield and back 4 it is very bad in defense also seeing how good the no DM is doing in some shapes this season and this tactic can benefit how narrow it is even though never tried it tho

I was curious if any of the recent attribute tests are applicable to slightly older versions of FM? I use Genie Scout so if I could use the filters for FM18 as well that would be awesome.

I used to play alot the FM18 and yeah it is the same in that regard, but in that version crossing was not just OP it was insane, also 3 strikers were a bug, AI couldn't defend it, lol with the amount of info we have now from testing FM18 would be a meme in terms of meta 5-0 on average with 5+ CCC...
Nice one 59 with no dm's is crazy
Finally a good S/A in attack wonder how would a DLF/S do, the 4-4-2/4-2-4 is busted since years
Added step up more, removed some PI, and moved DM(s) -> CM(s) seems very similar on the ball, off the ball pressing becomes better but defensive stability worsen interesting to compare with DM version
Also wanted to know what is the difference in much higher d line or any TI with balanced than with attacking mentality ? i mean is it like in attacking going for example down with 2 points in tempo visually it is lower tempo but under the hood it is normal tempo because the baseline is higher than in balanced mentality which is purely in the middle, very curious about it cause visually you think it is the same
What does this TI play out of defence actually affect ? does it affect the passing of all defenders, through balls from defender, runs or just the build up goal kick formation and little short passing from defenders ?
This is an interesting TI many times it results in either a chance for you or a catastrophic misplaced ball most like irl when in high risk high reward stuff.
Great post, what about midblock and lowblock do you try to go there ? also changing mentality and going from attack roles to support because meta-wise that is very bad in terms of performance but can be handy when trying to close a game last 20-30 minutes or so
This tactic this year is gonna top until FM 25 withstanding all the tests
Based on https://fm-arena.com/thread/7475-3-5-2-terminator-xvi/ here i changed from MEZZ(a) -> CM(a), removed Step up more, removed look for overlaps, and some PI changes
