MeanOnSunday said: I think you’ve missed the point of doing more than 1200 matches, it has nothing to do with how long a save is played for. When a tactic is tested there is a lot of randomness and just by luck a tactic can rank higher or lower than it should. The more matches the closer the points ranking is to the “true” value. What matters to you is the true value because that is what most accurately represents what you experience in your save. Expand
I know what the additional match testing is for, I've been on this website long enough to understand why they test for 1200/2400/4000 matches. My point being is if we take a 70 match season then that is 17 seasons! My reason for asking for the points tally of earlier tests was because within 17 seasons I'm probably going to have an OP team and the RNG won't be as much of a factor
Does anyone remember which tactic was top after 1200?
@Zippo@Droid do you have this information available please? is it possible to add the result of 1200/2400/4000 (if applicable) to the results table?
The reason I ask is because (and I don't mean any disrespect with this) but I only really take note of results from 1200 matches, the reason for this is because by the time I've played 1200 matches in game, I've probably already got an OP squad.
Im pretty sure that over 1200 matches there was 1 tactic that achieved 65/66 points but for the life of me can't remember which one it was
Mentality to attacking Left IF to AM attack Increased tempo to higher Added underlap right (right dm to exploit space) Added overlap left (wing back to exploit space left by AM)
Changes - IFa to IFs Right CM now has hold position DM now has hold position Left CM now has attack duty Removed focus play down flanks Added overlap
Idea is to have the left CM push into a more attacking midfield role and for the right CM to hold position so essentially creating a 4231 with somewhat a double pivot which seems to be crucial in this years top formations
As I said, no offense. I just wanted to understand the logic behind that way of naming tactics.
Peace. Expand
Sorry, just read my replies back and I'm coming aross as a bit shitty. Wasn't my intention. I get what you're saying though and appreciate it can be confusing. It just helps me identify my tactics a little better and previously the v1 or v2 made identifying how the tactic performed a little tricky as I would have to go and do some digging where as putting the points tally in the name gives me a better indicition at a glance
Nikko said: But what if two of your tactics/versions hit the same points in your tests? in this can you need to find some workout around.
Why not putting any information that helps identify the tactic in the description and keep the tactic name as clean as possible?
My mind is blowing when I see people come with name likes:
"433mybestevertactic 100pts LW IF KKTW ATTACK MANY GOALS"
For God sake... that's madness Expand
Like I said that's your opinion.
I do add a version number if the same points total is achieved. I'm not going to change how I name my tactics, you're the only person that seems to have an issue with it.
I've been posting tactics using this naming method for years and you're the first person to moan about it.
Nikko said: "the versions names" consist less character and it's easy to memorize them and refer to. Also, they makes sense, by looking at the version numbers you can conclude which tactics were released earlier/later.
"the points names" complete makes no sense and I always wonder what's the point in putting them in tactic names. Expand
Ok well that's your opinion mate, but I prefer to put the points in the name as it helps me identify the tactic, I think it provides a more unique identifier than v1 or v2

The "points" thing looks unlogical, ambiguous and unnecessary.
The "versions" thing look clean and nice.
I just really don't get.
what's the difference?

Just wanted to wish you, your families and the team a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
