I'll be honest, I'm not expecting it to do well in the test but its did well in my own testing, so I thought I'd put it out there to see how it got on
I've been looking at ways to get a strikerless tactic working, especially considering the shape last year was so dominant and the tactics put out by ZaZ and Magician as well as others were fantastic.
I wanted to use the same shape 4132 with no strikers, I have come up with the below shape, similar TIs and PIs to what I've been using for FM22. With that said I bring you the Witcher (if you haven't watched it then you need to get on Netflix and get it a whirl)
As always I have tested with Villa and PSG. AM in charge of general training and team selection, however I selected Mbappe in the shadow striker role for the PSG and selected use current team selection for the holiday test. NO EDITORS USED!
Villa Villa predicted 10th, finished 5th and secured European football, could've been a lot better but they dropped 9 points in the last 5 games of the season. Youngster Jacob Ramsey top scored with 23 goals in all comps. Villa also beat all PL averages in the general performance stats
PSG Won the treble, ran into Liverpool in the UCL and got knocked out. Mbappe was top scored in all comps with 48 goals, the team scored 202 goals in all competitions. Messi was the stand out performer for PSG, getting an 8.03 rating and having 74 goals involvements in all comps. All averages beaten in the general performance.
I've been working on a 442 that I feel is finally ready to share, I've took inspiration from Mongoose in terms of the roles used. I tested with Villa and PSG, leaving AM in charge of team selection and general training. First transfer window is disabled. NO EDITORS USED.
It is quite an aggressive tactic, so expect cards. Matty Cash was responsible for 4 of the Villa red cards. I will be looking to test without the tackle harder PI.
Mongoose Rejuvenated with Celta Vigo, predicted 10th, finished 2nd. Have to be honest though, La Liga is a strange old league this year, seems like all the big guns are underperforming (points wise)
Seeing as it looks like positive mentality is becoming strong again, I've tweaked Mongoose from FM21. As always, holiday tested with AM in charge of general training and team selection. NO EDITORS USED
