@Zippo could this please be tested on V3.0
This is the same as the original version but with the attacking IF on the left. I think it makes more sense given the other attacking forward is on the right. Better balance with one attacking and one support player on each side of the pitch.

A big thanks to @Gerrard and his top of the table TON 424 XB MC P98, which is the basis for this tactic.

I have changed the right IF from Support to Attack, and the CF to a False 9, with shoot less often.

The Overlaps have been changed to Underlaps.

I tested in 3 Leagues with 2 sides in each and a lot of differently rated sides.

Results were pretty impressive, winning all 3 Leagues. Man City won everything except the CL, going down in the quarters in a penalty shoot out. Bromley also won the FA Trophy on top of the VNL.

Melius said: How do we actually import these so they can be downloaded and used in game? I downloaded them but can’t seem to load them as a routine ?

Place the downloaded file into the Set Piece folder under FM24, usually something like here by default:

C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\set pieces

If there is no set pieces folder then create it.

Open FM24 and go to Tactics, then Set Pieces. There is a section towards the top in the middle called Routines. There should be a drop down arrow. Click on it and Select Load All Routines. Make sure the Location is Set Pieces and then select the Routines you are after. It should then be loaded.

If the Location is not set pieces then you will need to navigate to that folder.

Hope this helps.

Did you update Newgan Manager and follow Priisek's tutorial?

Corner Taking is pretty much corners and which foot they are using, depends on whether I am after an inswinger or outswinger. I usually select Aerial Threats on Jumping Reach given the attribute testing on this site. Then Creators on Technique and Recovery Defenders on Pace. I also take into account where the players need to end up after the set piece and order of priority. For instance I wouldn't have my best aerial threat taking a corner just because he had the best corner delivery.

It is possible. But I am not sure it is probable given the changes to set pieces this year. Feel free to give it a go if you want.

MDW24 rating says Ergin is better. Anyone know why?

It sounds to me like your ratings file has been altered some how.

I have manually calculated the ratings using both MDW22 and MDW24 ratings values. The calculation is, each attribute score multiplied by the ratings file weighting for the attribute for the position you are calculating. Then divided by the total attribute weighting for the position. And then divided by 20. You then also need to apply the Weight for that position in the rating file, which is where the balancing across positions occurs.

I have assumed they are both strikers.

For MDW24 I make it Ergin 52.38% to Samed 59.15%.

For MDW22 I make it Ergin 51.48% to Samed 58.09%

The difference between the two sets of ratings is in the balancing, the Weight for the position in the rating file. This is how the FS position relates to other positions which I fixed with the rebalancing. Proportionally within the positions MDW22 and MDW24 are the same but there have been some slight changes across positions. For instance in FM24 Haaland wasn't the top player using MDW22 but now is with MDW24. The changes came by comparing across positions based on a standard player as opposed to the best of each position when I did MDW22.

If you load the ratings file you are interested in and then go into Rating/Edit Player Rating you can see the Weight used for each position.

I hope this helps.

If you link to the game file I will have a look. I have done the manual calcs and Samad comes out a long way in front.

Download the one from the opening post of this thread. It was the best tactic tested on FM Arena for version 23.5.0

Meriten said: Decision is for every position more expensive than Anticipation (except SC) but the results on the tables are worse in comparision to Anticipation (FM22/FM23/FM24). Maybe there is one position (or even two positions) where Decision has a better cost-benefit ratio than Anticipation. But that doesn't matter. Why? Because you can't train Decision just for one position. You always must train Decision for all positions:

So a high value for Decision in a training session is always a bad thing.

If you give a player Additional Focus of Final Third they will train both Composure and Decisions.
Micka544 said: Hi, i downloads some setpiece here and put in the "set piece" folder but i can't find them in the game when i try to load them anyone Can tell me why pls ?

It is hard to know without seeing screenshots of what you are doing.

When you download the file place it in the set piece directory, should be something like this C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2024\set pieces

Load FM24 (these set pieces wont work on older versions of the game) and your save game file.

Go Tactics and then Set Pieces.

Click on the drop down at Routines

Select Load all routines. All your set piece routines should be in the Set Pieces folder. Check your load location is the right folder.

Select the routine you want and click on Load.

Meriten said: There is a big problem. One example: Anticipation is good but Decision is bad in context of CA efficiency according to the test results on fm-arena. But there is no training session which trains more Anticipation but less Decision.

Excerpt from MaxEBFM results:

Another example is Acceleration/Pace (both are good) and Agility (bad). I tried to beat the system by using a good and a bad coach but that doesn't work either. Anticipation/Decision is trained by the same coach and Acceleration/Pace/Agility is trained by the same coach too.

Another problem is that we don't know all good attributes. Stamina e.g. is bad according to fm-arena test results but good according to ykykyk.

This is only a thought and totally unproven, but the machine learning was using overall, that is combinations whereas fm arena used single attributes.

Now I know that the machine learning was done with just one tactic over one year, but to me it seems more reliable.

The changes by year for attributes seem marginal. As Rampaging Roy Slavin would say, make of that what you will.

You need the updated version for FM24. SI changed the Newgen numbering. Priisek has done an updated video on it. See my post above yours
