Does loading it onto all 3 increase their familiarity?
Tried last night getting back into it with Middlesbrough and a great pre season turned spurt losing first 3 games by 4 goals each 😂 Expand
Yes it will make the players get familiar with the tactic quicker, what will help also is training the roles, what tactic were you using? Pre season can be very misleading, I tend to play around 6 games against smaller teams. I also play my strongest 11 if possible so that they are familiar with the tactic/roles but they can also build up chemistry
I’m looking at getting back into FM after a few years off, I’m more of a casual player now and love the idea of download and play to get back into,
Is it as simple as downloading this tactic and plug and play? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated Expand
Hey,
pretty much yeah. Stick the tactic into all 3 slots. Make sure to recruit players that have good acceleration and pace, I'd say no less than 14 but the higher the better.
ChaseNorfleet said: What attributes do you look for in DMs for this formation? Everyone else plays pretty well and gets decent ratings but the DMs always get poor average ratings for me. When recruiting I always went for players that had good attributes highlighted in the DM - Support role and made sure they had good tackling and physical attributes, seeing as they do a lot of the pressing and ball winning. Hey, I go for acceleration, pace, anticipation, concentration, positioning and work rate.
Bear in mind, this role isn't about ratings, its about doing the basics, winning the ball back and giving it to a more creative outlet. I wouldn't worry about the ratings for this role
Just to give some logic behind this change. The opposition GK is looking to clear the ball long because my team is essentially cutting off the short distribution passing lanes. What I wanted to achieve was to let the opposition GK play the ball short which in turn would allow my high pressing to kick which could potentially lead to an opposition mistake, potentially winning the ball closer to the opposition goal makes more sense to me
I've used the roles, PIs and TIs from the HGF P86 but I've added hold up ball and roam from position to IF
