How is the tactical familiarity with the swapping of the tactics pal? I know its terms of instructions that the team will be familiar but in terms of roles how are they getting on? do you see a drop in rating? Could a right sided DW suddenly play a Left IW the next game? Sorry for the questions, I'm intrigued though as I think you're on to something here

Wint said: Just to revisit this. How do Opposition Instructions fit into all this? I notice all of the top tactics do not have OI's but could you utilise them to be more aggressive in the press without tackling like an uber aggressive Vinnie Jones?

Ideally, you probably only want to press 1 opposition player otherwise you could be leaving gaps and your shape will be all over the place. I tend to press the CB who has the lowest composure attribute, that is the only OI I use
Made what?
It would be very hard to recreate that tactic as back in 2015 roles weren't defined as they are now. I think you'll struggle to recreate that to be honest. You're best just trying to find a similar shape like this https://fm-arena.com/thread/5572-433-niit/ and using that
Delicious said: The tactic scored 52 on Arena, means is good/excellent, this thing about freezing just your team isn't anything new, i did noticed many people around(i don't mean on FM-Arena, but on the community overall,i was talking about this kind topic on my discord as well) doing it.

You are right, about is missleading but if @MakeSuRE post the tactic on FM-Arena to get it tested i don't understand where is the problem.

Simulation of a season is useless anyway, so if he do freeze one season or not, doesn't really matter.

Difference is when people start to post using those kinds of words like : "OUTSTANDING 343" "ULTIMATE 343" "EXPECTIONAL 343" "GODLIKE 343", there are more then 10 keywords that are very loved on the community in order to fishout more viewers(yes i am studying those kind of stuff at the moment), and you will download a 30 rate tactic.

I'm not telling him how to run his tactic testing, I was pointing out that it may be helpful for him to mention that he has frozen the fitness and morale. I liked the look of this tactic and when I like the look of a tactic, I don't wait for the testing result from Arena. I assume others do that also, the arena score isn't the be all and end all for some people on here. I looked at his tactic and went wow he won the league with Brentford, this must be special. Then I noticed something in the screenshots and I immediately thought, its misleading. This is just not a site for people to get tactics tested, it's also to share tactics and I think when you are putting tactics out there for people to use, you should be telling them if you've frozen fitness and morale as it plays a big part in the result

This is the only thing which people should put their eyes on.

Besides, freezing just give a better initial evaluation for one tactic in my testing folders by controlling variables, like what happened in the arena test.

As @Lapidus said, you don't just freeze your own team, you freeze all the other teams too creating an equal environment. You didn't. I'll be honest, I saw the screenshots and I thought wow this tactic looks very very good, especially to win the league with Brentford but then I noticed something in one of your screenshots and it completely changed my opinion
MakeSuRE said: Yes cuz it has nothing to do with the arena test.

What does it matter if it has to do with the arena test? You've frozen morale and fitness, not mentioned anything about it in your OP and tried to pass off this amazing result with Brentford. Need to be a bit more transparent with how you've set up the test. Misleading
you freeze morale and fitness?
Gracolas said: What tactical changes can/should we do for those dificult games where we are leading by 1 goal and we need to close the door for the last minutes?

I'm playing with 'Pressure cooker' and 'Blau Diamond Tweak' and most of times the changes that i do is: increase time wasting and drop the line of engagement to low block

For me you need to be removing all risk taking instructions and slowing the game down.

Be more compact in defensive by reducing pressing intensity, engagement line and defensive line. Maybe change some roles to defend duty to close out the game.

You literally want to take the sting out of the game and make it boring. In regards to going for the 1 goal, go all out, attack attack attack! be more direct with your passing, shoot on sight etc..
I remove from negotiation any future selling on fees, so percentage of next sale etc.. I then hit suggest to see what they want. 9 times out of 10 there will chuck in monthly instalments, I keep this but amend the instalments to the most allowed. 3 x yearly instalments or 6 x 6 monthly instalments.

I then go about reducing the initial fee, lets says the player is valued at 15 million, I hit suggest and the club want 18 million up front and 3 instalments of 1.5 million making the overall transfer value 22.5 million. I will try and bring the overall transfer value as close to the up front fee as possible, so I tend to reduce the up front fee leaving the instalments. I will probably end up getting the player for around 19 million overall so saving 3.5 million.

For contracts, I remove any fee's based on appearances, goals, assists etc.. leaving just competition or personal accolade bonus's. I also leave in wage increases after a certain amount of games. Usually when I offer this, the wage and signing on fee increases. At this point, I leave the wage unless they're demands are ridiculous and I offer them a much lower signing on fee and I lock it so they can't negotiate it. 9 times out of 10 this works and I get the player. The odd occasion the negotiations break down because the agent is a tool.

Lets say the player wanted

- 35k weekly wage
- 1.5 million signing on fee
- 500k agent fee
- 10k appearance fee
- 10k goal bonus
- 10k assist fee
- 45k after 25 games

I would remove appearance, goal and assist fees and hit suggest, what I find is this

- 40k weekly wage
- 2.5 million signing on fee
- 700k agent fee
- 45k after 25 games

I will reduce the signing on fee to 1.7 million and the agent fee back down to 500k and lock those. They may request some other type of fee like sub bonus etc.. remove them.

I find this approach 9 times out of 10 works for me and if the player declines my contract offer, I tend to go back after a few weeks and I find its a different agent all together
