First off, sorry for bombarding the forum with tactics lately. I'm bored with all my saves and just seeing if I can create decent tactics or at least one very good tactic. Appreciate you testing them for me.
One thing I have struggled with this year is creating a 442 that works and from looking at other tactics I decided to stick with some familiar roles, mainly at the back with the 2 BPDs and 2 IWBs (If its not broke, don't fix it)
The tactic
The passing TI is set to standard, however I have set more direct passing across the midfield 4 as I wanted them to get the ball in the final third as quickly possible. I've gone with poachers as they sit on the shoulder and look to get in behind hence why the TI pass into space is used. I've conceded so many goals in my saves from through balls over the top, I wanted to get my own back on FM.
The test results Won all cups but was a little gutted it didnt achieve over 100 points in the league (it doesn't help that Liverpool have 7 games in 15 days if they reach the FA and UCL final) As always it was a holiday test. No FMRTE was used. Training and Team Selection left to AM.
Would love some feedback on the tactic, always looking to tweak and improve
Holiday test with AM picking team and doing training
102 pts with Liverpool, winning the PL, CL, Carabao Cup and Community Shield. Top scorer was Salah was 57 goals
Position changes -
BBM > CM W > WM CWB > WB
TI tweaks-
Removed pass into space Removed low crossed Removed roll it out Removed Distribute to FBs Added Force opp outside Added Higher Def Line Added Higher Eng Line Added use tighter marking
A tweaked version of the DingDong 4132 posted a few days ago. Achieved 105 points with Liverpool in the PL with Salah scoring 57 goals on the way to the team achieving a treble.
Holiday tested with no FM editors used and AM picking team and doing training
Added team instructions -
Force opposition outside Higher defensive line Use tighter marking
A 4132 that has performed very well in my real Madrid save (won the league 4 times and CL 3 times) and performed brilliantly in a quick Liverpool test.
It is very strong going forward and in defence. Strikers seem to score for fun.
Took influence some of the tactics of the top of the table and around the analysis that has been done recently
As a Bolton fan, the 451 or 433 or 41221 or whatever you want to call is, is close to my heart as this was the formation Big Sam used when we were mixing it up with the likes of Atletico Madrid in Europe.
The roles aren't the same, but I wanted to at least keep the shape . Its took me a while to get this tactic to a place where I was comfortable sharing it with the FM world.
As per with all my tactics, I tested it with Liverpool and Villa. No FMRTE used. Training and Team Selection left to AM.
Liverpool achieved 101 pts and won the quadruple
Villa achieved 74 pts with the 2nd best defence in the league and 5th placed finish
An attacking 532 (strikerless) tactic, tested with Liverpool and won the quadruple. Achieved 104 points in the league. No FMRTE used. Training and team selection left to AM.
tested with Villa, predicted 18th pre season, so overachieved in the end and a cup final. Some belting results along the way too but some bad results too to be honest
Just to show that no FMRTE was used as some big injuries
Created a 41311 based on the superb tactical analysis ZaZ did. For the roles I didnt always go with the top rated as I wanted to try something slightly different.
tested with Liverpool, AM picked team and did training, no editors used
tested with Villa, AM picked team and did training, no editors used
As you may noticed we changed the way people upload thier tactics for the testing and only tactics that were uploaded using the new upload system are considered for the testing. Expand
A variant of the Tarantula Hawk AF CB tactic (https://fm-arena.com/thread/1164-tarantula-hawk-af-cb/), removed counter press and added regroup. Achieved some really good results with Liverpool and Villa. Holiday tested with no FMRTE used and AM doing training and team selection.
107 pts with Liverpool and all but FA Cup won, 52 goals from Salah
5th place finish with Villa and an FA Cup, Watkins with 38 goals

Yes, create a new thread for it, please.

Thanks pal, I have created a new thread
