In theory the IW is a more creative role than the IF, therefore shouldn't score as many. In previous years that was true, last year I found that the IF wasn't as good as the IW in just about every aspect. I think it depends more the type of player than the role itself. For instance, Bernardo Silva at IW will score a few but mostly get a bag of assists, Mbappe as IW will get lots of goals but only a few assists
sponsorkindest said: Its just a copy of @Delicious FM 23 tactic but since the testing won't be done with the same corner routine, I don't expect a lot out of this but for me this is the best tactic in FM24. It checks a lot of boxes which I consider to be meta, 3 ATB, Vol (At), More AF (A) / IF (A) the merrier and high D-Line. I would still be interested in your version of this tactic @Steelwood

It has just been uploaded. It uses IWs instead of IFs. Also uses overlap instead of underlap
Well the 3 ATB and high line appears to be doing rather well. Here is another test of that (Luton Town were also involved in this test)

Haha you've just about beaten me to pretty much the same tactic. I'm still testing mine but it'll be up in a few minutes. That back 3 and higher line seems to be working wonders rn
sponsorkindest said: you are absolutely right about high line, I am positive if we change this tactic from low line to high line, it will increase the score by 2 to 3 points. Let me try to get a 424 with a high line.

I'm currently testing another 3 ATB to prove this theory. I wouldn't be surprised if high line became the meta after low line sort of became the meta last year
sponsorkindest said: I agree but I feel like 3 ATB is more powerful in FM24, not sure if it's a beta thing or not. What's your take? I know 433 sucks :D

There's a few things that I feel may be working better this year after seeing some of the tests on here, as well as some videos on YouTube. 3 ATB and a high line may be the way to go
Excuse me
So what this says is basically nothing has changed in terms of meta. This is essentially what this tactic would have got last year without the set-pieces
The final version of this tactic. Moved to the Volantes and IWBs as that seems to be the way forward on this ME. Added be more disciplined in the TIs and also changed the IW to IF. Added dribble more and take more risks to all roles for fun but I don't think it does very much to the forwards.

This is a tweak of @Delicious "Re-cookie VI", changing the AM and DM player roles from AM(A) to Shadow Striker and changing the DM(S) to DM(D). Also added take more risks and dribble more to the strikers. Did well with Liverpool, including an 8-2 win against Bayern in the UCL final.

Couldn't find many tactics with this formation. So I have updated the original Truss with the "meta" instructions and set-pieces from @Delicious. Did well with Man City (obviously)

New formation, pushing the wingers up this time but keeping instructions and set-pieces the same. Did well with Liverpool, including a 6-0 CL final win against Bayern.

Removed "dribble more" on numerous positions. Changed DW to IW. Changed DM(D) to DM(S)

Continuing on from good work done by @Blau and @Delicious, I have changed this tactic to incorporate IWs and I have also changed the set-pieces in line with the top tactics at this current time. Won the quintuple with Liverpool.

Wow!
Continuing with the theme of "dribble more" and "take more risks", I have incorporated the striker roles from Pressure Cooker as it made it slightly better before.

Let's gooooooo
After thinking that adding 'dribble more' and 'take more risks' does nothing, according to my last test it does a lot. Therefore, I have added it to Major to see what it would do.

Wow ok, fair enough
Guidito said: What did you change @Steelwood ?

It's similar to "Blau Diamond Tweak" but I've removed the PIs that I don't believe make a difference and I've also changed some of the corner positions (ie. AM attacking edge of box instead of DM)

This is essentially just a test to see how good a DM on defend is
