Maybe its just me but results seem better under the new patch. Less goals against and bigger margins. Is anyone having the same experience?

AM-su seems to provide a stable connection on the field. Maybe it's better than SS or AM-at.

I definitely agree in this formation
I have run this tactic a few times and it keeps coming up with well above average results. I am selecting sides that are expected to finish in the relegation zone and they keep making the play offs for promotion.

It is very attacking so leaks a few goals as most tactics seem to in this version of FM

This is the best result I have had with Carlisle and I have tested all the top tactics
NoSignal said: I tryed this on 3rd portugese leauge. Dont work well. 4 wins, 4 draws, 2 loses. Cant score more than 1 goal in game. I have pretty good team, better than in dulwitch but playing much worse mby bcs i joined during the season afer previous manager was sacked

You might need to give it a bit more time with a side like that, especially joining mid season. Your team is ranked towards the bottom of that League so results are not too bad. Can you train the players to the position and role you are using them in. It sometimes helps them learn the tactic quicker. Otherwise might be best to try another tactic that suits the players you have,I think Electro would suit that team, ZaZ.
Its true @ZaZ you can load them straight in and play them. Also FM20 tactics. I haven't tried FM19 as they were strikerless and would not be so good in this version.
I would like to have a test league where you could take the top 20 tactics with teams equal and see how they ended up.
The Attribute testing is probably the most helpful from the last two seasons. Good to see that it continues and that we can still target players with good pace and acceleration, especially for lower league clubs.
NoSignal said: Sadly need to start new game. Didnt set up hide atributtes at start. Now i can See everythinh in players profile. Hate that. Now will tey with deepest English league. Dulwich Hamlet is my new club:)

How did you go with your new save. I just started with CD Coria in Spain and St Albans Vanarama South in England. I am just getting through the preseason and haven't been able to add much quality to either squad. Pre season has been good in England so now hoping to kick the season off with a few wins.
Target Person said: 4132 seems to be strongest formation atm, I like this one because of very attacking mentality and AF+F9 pair instead of double AF so will happily give it a go :D

I wanted to ask if it's fine to use a No.10/AMC type at CM, and if F9 requires more pace or passing/technique? Thanks!

I think AMCs work well as the CM Attack role so give it a go.

I generally individually train my key attacking players with Passing as it also includes Vision which I think is most important. And definitely Acceleration and Pace make a big difference

And according to Genie Scout CD Coria should not be competitive although in real life they are not doing bad this season. Good luck and enjoy.
I cant believe how many tactics you guys have tested in the last few days - thank you so much. So impressed.

They look like pretty good results mate. Please let me know how it progresses
@ZaZ I had a quick look at corners for the top 10 tactics in my testing. Your ZaZ ones on 1.0b were the best followed by Fanecas. I used a copy of your set piece routines with a new tactic and achieved the same proportion of goal assists from corners. I am going to stick with it for future tactics.

I have one more tactic formation I want to test and then I will spend a bit of time playing until the next ME update. At the moment I will probably use Dragons Breath updated with your set pieces. I still think it is more than good enough to get me to the Sky Bet Championship from Vanarama North/South.

I retested Fanecas and it still didn't come close to ZaZs or Dragons Breath.
NoSignal said: Ok, we will se:) Just ended set up this on switch. Took me about 2hours:/

Let me know how it goes
NoSignal said: @Mark are u going to test this tactic? I mean test in that official testing system on this site

Sorry mate, but I don't get to decide whether it is tested. That is up to the site administrators
Can I just ask the whole community to thank the guys at FM Arena for their efforts today. They have tested 21 tactics in the last 9 hours, to the thoroughness that we are all after. This is an amazing effort and helps us all so much. I am sure many of you are like myself and are guided by the results. It has been so helpful over the last few years that I have been looking and participating.
ZaZ said: I just made a new test league with editor, now I'll start testing again from scratch, starting from Red and Blue (FM21).

After you have done them, can you use the top FM Arena tactic at the time (currently Fanecas) and Dragons Breath (my top tactic at present) to get a baseline? I am really keen to see hoe DB stacks up elsewhere.
ZaZ said: Press intensity and tempo. Lowering one tick of each seemed better than lowering just one of them.

Thanks. I mainly used Dragons Breath and Electro in Beta. Took Hungerford to the top of the VNS League and was offered the job at Scunthorpe who were last in L2. Took them to mid table pretty quickly. I still like the 4-1-3-0-2 formation which isn't far off last years winning formations. I am hoping they test Dragons Breath which tested so well for me in holiday mode.

I am still keen to try a few winning formations from 2020 and 2019. Then take the ones I think are best and the ones that are winning on FM Arena and give them a solid test in the lower leagues to get my starting tactic. Although, if any of mine are rated any good I will go with them.
ZaZ said: I tried with three different tactics and everytime I lower intensity, lower team does better. It might be because of a completely different reason, but it seems to me that weaker teams don't have the intensity to keep up with higher intensity tactics. They still do well with them, but not as well as they would with lower intensity. I wish someone else could test it to see if the hypothesis stands.

I have a few more days testing left and then might have a play with that thought. It kind of makes sense. What it might mean is that as you move through the divisions you very slowly increase the intensity. Are you talking Mentality and Tempo?
ZaZ said: Since his tactic got better results for underdog teams, I suppose I don't need to show those things from mine, right?

When I get a chance in the next few days I might go back through results to look at set pieces as well to try and see if we can get a feel for what is working.
