Cool! Just a quick tip based on observation, the meta for some reason requires at least one DM and any other mid field combo without DM the defensive prowess drops.
Ya my bad, the results were not good when I tried two CM roles as you could tell and I didn’t want to submit that for testing but changes to the right side was promising. Sorry!
100% agree with your interpretation of over/underlap. That's my finding too and I don't use em when I am playing FM lower leagues. Maybe because of the player attribute distribution in FM test league, overlap tend to be powerful, so I believe it requires players above certain caliber.
its insane, how good this tactic is defensively despite having 7 players on attack and attacking mentality. @ZaZ : Did you try this on balanced mentality ?

Using the famous DLP + DM combo as DM's and one lone CM (At). No flank plays. No over/underlaps.
Really? This changes the tactic just an FYI. Always remove it, if you are doing a holiday run
