It's 9,600 matches.

9,600 matches / 38matches(1 season) = 252 seasons

The testing is automated and done by fm-arena testing server.
BulldozerJokic said: long shots? Who would've thought. Am I right that long shots don't even count towards player's CA?

Long Shots attribute takes CA, it isn't free.
Hi,

I've just noticed the way the testing results are represented was changed.

https://fm-arena.com/table/fm24-hall-of-fame/

Ouch... the top tactics are only capable of winning 55% of the possible points! We need a tactic that can reach 100% of winning! :D

I really like the new way. :)

Good job.
gallina said: Separately, can 'OK' tactics be workable in-game?

Yes, it'll work just fine.

gallina said: As for positions, every 4ATB formation has BPDs flanked by FB(a)s. 3ATB formations have BPDs with maybe a Libero in the middle flanked by WB(a)s. Defensive Midfielders are DM(s) unless you don't have any AMCs, in which case they are VOL(a). CMs are CM(s), occasionally CM(a). 10s are AM. Wingers are always IF. Sole strikers are AF(a). 2 or 3 strikers are PF(s) or AF(a).

https://fm-arena.com/thread/13324-gasp4-v4-revengemode/

The tactic above uses "Winger", "Segundo Volante", "Inverted Wing Back", "Inside Forward", "Defensive Midfield", "Full Back", "Advanced Forward" and "Pressing Forward".

it has 8 different roles and it works great. :)
sa said: They are set to change tactic. My game emails say "Whites park the bus approach" meaning it does indeed play the park the bus formation and change to gegenpressing at different game states. Are you sure you're doing everything right? I've tried a 550 blended with other tactics like 10 up front and noticed a clear difference.

Do you know that you can watch re-play of any match in 3D after it was played?

Pick any match where you sure that different tactics were used in possession and out of possession and check it yourself.

Above link is to the save file. Started preseason using this method: anyone can view the match history and watch the formations ingame.

Pal, I've checked the save you upload and I can't confirm that anything you're saying is true.

First of all, I checked the match plans and found they wasn't set to change the tactic.

Probably, you was just deceived because you tested using it two very similar shapes 4-2-4 and 4-4-2. As I said try something more obviously different, for example, 4-2-4 formation as you attacking tactic and 5-4-1 formation as your defensive formation.
@sa, it's easy to test. Just put 4-2-3-1 tactic as your attacking and 5-3-2 as your defensive tactic.

If what you're saying is true then the difference between 4-2-3-1 and 5-3-2 should be easily visible.

sa said: Hey Lapidus, it's alright if I send you my save file and you can experiment with that?

You can upload your game save anywhere and put a download link to it here for everyone to check, not only me.
I suggest you to upload some videos or any other stuff that can prove that what you're saying is true.

I'm really looking into it.
Placebo PI that gives +100 to win chance :D

This means that in first month he progressed and reached his ceiling so there's no room for any further progression.

It says my current version is 23.5.0+1827095 (m.e v23.2.0.0) so I was wondering for the table log should I pick a tactic from 23.2.0 or 23.5.0?

Hi,

You should use this table - https://fm-arena.com/table/23-patch-23-5-0-n/
ChouxAlpaca said: So if I lock all his attribute to 20 and set his training style as general, it can work right? And about the rotating squad, I thinking of giving him the "Bring on substitute early" to try and combat the squad problem

When I mention "Rotation" I was talking about "Rotation" that happens between matches not during matches.

For example, a poor AI manager uses the same starting constantly without any rotation between matches, and it has a very negative impact on the result because the players get tired quickly, as opposite, a good AI manager tries to rotate the team between matches and give star players a rest in not important matches which has a positive impact on a long run.
ChouxAlpaca said: I think increase the "flamboyancy" of the AI manager could improve how much he rotate the squad and the trainning problem could be less important if I put all the AI manager in the big clubs (The like of City, Bayern, etc..)

"Flamboyancy" is a tactical settings, it determines what roles/duties an AI mangers uses in his tactic.

When it comes to the training AI mangers don't rely on the staff like human managers do, AI managers rely on their training abilities.
ChouxAlpaca said: I am creating a database which replace coaches in some big teams that always underperform in FM (Looking at you, City) to increase the game difficulty.

Currently I creating him with these things in mind:

- Tactical shape: 4-2-4 or 4-2-3-1 DM wide

- Attribute: 15 for attack, 1 for defensive line and width, 20 for pressing

- Tendencies:
Counter press, Focus play down flank, counter, Buy a lot of young player, Sign U24 for first team, Loan out hot prospects and Fit player into prefered tactic

Is there anything that I should add/remove to make him better?

Hey,

Don't forget that the tactical settings isn't the only thing that determines how successful an AI manager is. There are many other things which aren't less important. For example, an AI manager also must be good at rotating the team, keeping everyone happy(high morale), training the team, picking the best possible players from available, making good transfers and some other things.

So it isn't only about the tactical settings when it comes to successful AI mangers.
rc25 said: Hello everyone,

So the meta attributes for the wide positions + striker make sense. What about DM? Are they more CDs in the sense I should look for Jumping + Strength or should I look for Pace + Acc more?

Asking because I've tried Alexandropoulos as DM (17 Pace + Acc) and his ratings were really bad. Also I use 2 holding DMs so I guess they are more CDs than offensive midfielders.

What is your opinion? Any DMs you recommend?

Artabora said: Hi and thank you for your answers.

But both tactics have the exact same form. Both team and player instructions. There is no differences.

From point of your explanations, the algorithm needs to measure the same RNG paramaters and finish at same point the test for both tactics. Am I wrong? But mine tested with 2400, Gerrard's tested with 3600.

So could you tell me, what is the exact differences between these two tactics from view of the algorithm? Why it is react different? Or what is the more positive RNG parameters in Gerrard's tactic? Set pieces? Opposite instructions etc? What caused that?

And don't get me wrong mate. I'm just curious.

You should look at this and try to understand it - https://fm-arena.com/thread/2713-10-944-matches-tested-fm-rng-measured/
Mrcl25 said: At the same time, I wanted to make a suggestion. How about a friendly competition to try to find the best possible tactic for each formation, perhaps creating separated tables for each?

Such thing is already exist. It's called "Hall Of Fame" :)

Gerrard said: Is this a mirror of top tactic?

Yup, it looks like that :)
gregajonke said: Namely, I play with fake players. I'm interested in the following, is it possible to somehow copy/save these fake players so that I can use them in a new game with those?

I really don't think something like is possible but I might be wrong.
Antal said: friends, what do these numbers mean?

Those numbers indicate the scores that tactic in theory can achieve. The numbers are bases on fm-arena RNG measurement.
