I noticed that with attacking mentality the shapes automatically become wider, and narrower with more defensive ones, and in my test usually the more is narrow the team's shape, the less are goal scored and against goals.. Also if you read on TI menu, when you have to set the shape and you leave the standard one, it says "it will adapt to team's menatlity", and if you try to change mentality you can see that with attacking the standard is "fairly wide", with defensive "narrow", etc... The Mentality might affect the attacking and defensive shapes at the same time.
I was talking about the setting below, which I'm 100% sure only affects the attacking shape.

Expand
It depends on the league you play in.
For example, if you play in EPL then 15+ Acc, Pace and Dribbling wouldn't be "fantastic" at all for such strong league, it would be just average.
Not all attributes matters there are some meta attributes that makes a huge difference.

The thing is, that the results that you consider as "bad", actually might be "good" or at least "normal" but you just don't understand it due to lack of knowledge how the game works.
SCF said: Is it possible for hidden attributes (like consistency) to improve for a player? Expand
Many hidden attributes can be improved throughout Mentoring.
Btw, I'm not sure that Consistency can be improved throughout Mentoring but I almost sure that players slightly improve their Consistency attribute during their careers, but don't expect a miracle here, maybe they get +1 Consistency every 3-4 seasons or something like that.
Consistency determine how many matches a player plays at his full CA.
20 Consistency mean that a player plays 20 matches of 25 and his full CA and 5 matches his CA decreased by random number from 1 to 20.
10 Consistency mean that a player plays 10 matches of 25 and his full CA and 15 matches his CA decreased by random number from 1 to 20.

Honestly, I always thought that Match Plans thing works properly only in FM Touch version when you use Instant Result.
Since FM Touch version stopped be available through Steam for PC I didn't bother with Match Plans and Instant Result.
But I think Match Plans and Instant Result are very good features but it's really embarrassing how SI treats good features in their game.

I've been tested it millions times and if you test without FMRTE then using "use current team selection when available" is a terrible idea, it greatly worsens the result, letting the assistant manager to rotate the team gives a much better result.
CBP87 said: Yes, select use current team selection when going on holiday. You don't have to have a player in each role. If you select 3 players and tick that option then those 3 should start when available and the other roles will be selected by the AM Expand
@Artabora, once more, it is a very bad idea to do that because even if those "selected players" have terrible conditions something like 40%-50% "Red Heart" Conditions then the assistant manager will still pick them because that's how "use current team selection when available" feature works.
Again, if you test without FMRTE then you should never use the "use current team selection when available" feature because without rotating the team the result will be much worse than with "rotation"
CBP87 said: In regards to putting players in the roles, make sure to click the "use current team selection" when holidaying otherwise the AM may not use them in that role Expand
That approach only viable when you use FMRTE to get every player 100% before every match otherwise the assistant manager will be using "the selected players" even if they are in "red" conditions.
If you test without FMRTE then your the assistant manager must be allowed to rotate the team.
Hi,
I wonder why don't you say exactly what PIs you added/removed.
@Zippo @Droid according to this - https://fm-arena.com/thread/2733-how-to-get-your-tactic-tested/ people must write up the changes they make but I've been noticing some people ignore that requirement. I think there must be some kind of "punishments" for that.
The width setting only affects the shape when the team "has the ball" and it doesn't have any impact on "without the ball" shape.

At the 1st season West Ham is predicted to finish the 10th place.
If you end up the 1st season with this tactic higher than the 10th then it can be considered as "working".
But if you expect to get 100+ points with the default West Ham team as it stands in the 1st season then I suggest you to read this - https://fm-arena.com/thread/1076-my-tactic-doesn-t-work-help-me-please/

CA doesn't mean anything.
120CA player might be much better than 160CA player

I guess, if it's "Approved" and added to the queue then you can't edit it
But I must add that I'm very missing FM Touch version, I wish it was available on Steam for PC users.
My opinion, that the full game version has much more useless, complicated and boring stuff that the FM Touch version.
