I think the first post should make it clear that this is a tweak.
After fifteen matches in the league, I'm finally in the lead. I'm also progressing well in the cups, and I would like to talk about my last match in Carabao Cup against Manchester City. Right before the match, their manager did what no manager should ever do: he called us an easy opponent. Never be that guy, be it on a game or on real life. As a result, his team got complacent and they got their ass kicked 4-0 against my second team. I don't like Carabao Cup, but it felt good to thrash one of the strongest teams in the game.

As you can see he also don't score and don't make assistance.

I really don't understand why you expect seeing goals and assistance from DM.

Anything above 6.8 is a good rating for a position such as DM that isn't supposed to score or do assistances, at least that's how it works in FM.

By the way, just yesterday I was in a discussion where I was saying Rodri was the main player of Manchester City. No one agreed with me. (P.S.: The discussion was literally "who is the main player of Manchester City, that if you remove him the team would suffer the most"?)

It takes less than one minute to put the schedule from picture to game. The picture has the advantage to allow players from consoles to use them.

Also, I'm quite sure there might be some better training schedules around somewhere, I only put mine for reference since people keep asking, but I never claimed it to be the best.
Wigo said: if you look in the pic Roaming playmaker has 0 goals and 2 assists in 30 games :/ thats a disaster... there is some other positions in Fm where rating is average but statistics is shit :/ annoying

Change him to another role or position. If the tactic does better as a whole, then you have a point and the RPM was to blame. If tactic just gets worse, then he can't be considered a disaster, since he gets low scores in order to enable his partners to get better scores.
League One just started! Five matches on the season and I can't call it a good start. I believe things will get better later, but right now I'm just eighth, eight points behind automatic promotion zone (my goal). My team is obviously predicted last again, and I also added a picture of sponsorship to show how big the financial gap is.

I only managed to hire three players this window, being a DM, a DR and a MR. I lost lots of time trying to get a good MR, but every time I offered contract for some player, some bigger teams imediately started showing interest, stealing the player from me. Because of those players, my annual wage budget increased from ~650k to 950k, including some contract renewals.

If anyone is curious on how I get rid of players easily, I just keep offering them to other clubs. First I put no asking price, then I set a value and go down little by little until someone shows interest, even if it has to reach zero. When it reaches zero, I also offer the player for loans for anyone willing to pay his wage. No need to keep deadwood around when finances are weak.

Talking about finances, facilities are now slightly better than when it started, and training facilities are in the way to complete.

Below are the usual competitions screen, schedule, squad, player in best form, as well as finances, facilities, media odds and sponsorship.

P.S.: Forgot to say the board got Crystal Palace to be feeders of my team, meaning they pay us around 50k a year and we can get loans for free. Too bad all players that I asked on loan either rejected to play on lower league or got some offer from another team and decided to go there instead.
Grimsby FC said: Hi. I've got a couple of questions please.

1 - The wingers - Does cross from byline get better results over the long term? Because i feel it makes wingers hold on to the ball longer and we miss chances as a result. I've had more short term success with removing the instruction and just letting the player decide.

2 - The wingers failing to close down opponents next to them, and instead going back to their position is sth that happens a lot. Is there a fix for this? The DWs just dont close down close to the centre circle areas.

3 - The IWBs and CBs on occasion clash. An example is when a cross comes in from the left side, the IWB instead of the RCB takes it upon himself to come clear the ball. So what happens is that the RCB basically leaves his marker and waits for the IWB to come clear the header/the ball and what ends up happening is that we concede. Because that switch cant happen fast enough. But i've never really seen this interaction in any of my formations. So i'm just curious if there's a fix for it? or its just part of it all.

I tried lots of things to improve this tactic and that version got me the best results. There was almost a whole year with people trying to get better results, with all sort of different tactics and tweaks, but it seems that performance is very close to the limit of the match engine. Unfortunately, there are no more tests for FM21.
DeclanRice said: So Zaz Blue Dm is the best tactics now? With the Me 22.3?

Looking only at the table, yes, but keep in mind that there is a margin of error and any tactic with score 5.0+ could very well be the best.
Joe said: Is pace and acceleration that much OP to any other attributes in fm22 then because in real world which ain't fm you would pick CD1 over cd2, cheers zaz

I have seen two different people testing player attributes, one was FM-Arena and the other was from a chinese forum. In both cases, pace and acceleration were the most important attributes. I just base my decisions in the data available.
FMAddict said: Hey @ZaZ , have you further tested Wingers instead of DW? Is the change worth it?

I tested all roles in all duties instead of DW, including Carillero and Mezzala, and DW was still on top. W-Su was very similar, but goal difference was smaller, so I decided to keep DW instead.

ta2199 said: How can you do trial signing ? I do it but can't registered them

I do trials just to reveal attributes, it's faster than using scouts. When players are 100% revealed, I release the bad ones and invite more trialists, until I have a good pool to choose from.

In upper leagues, I use scouts more. First I ask agent for availability and if cost is ok, I ask for a scout card. Those that have potential in the scout card (which reveals a bit of attributes) I ask to scout for a week, or a bit more if scouting is not revealing the attributes that really matter.
I'm currently scouting and doing trials for new signings. I plan to hire around five new players to next season.

After season was over, a few notable things happened. First, I got almost 500k from participation in League Two and FA Cup, then the board finally accepted to upgrade training facilities (it costed 889k). My players are also being heavily sought in the market, and even though I'm denying most of the offers, they managed to buy my central defender for 200k + loan back + options. I had no choice, director though offer was too good and accepted on his own, though I would probably accept it too. As a reminder, he came for free during last season. (P.S.: Right after that, Norwich offered 500k for him. He might be the next Beckembauer, but I can't say no to a whole year of wages to my players.)

Check "Attributes Importance" in the first post.
Mark said: I am now running more thorough testing to see which GS Ratings work best. I have taken the ZaZ EPL Test League and downloaded the ratings for EPL players for each ratings filter including the GS default. I set up coaches for the top 9 teams and set all tactics to ZaZ Blue DM. I will do at least 3 runs and then look at the predictions for each position versus the end player ratings for each position.

It should be interesting to see performance against this data set.

Wow, that's way more than I asked for, but thanls a lot!

Check "Attributes Importance" at the first post pf Blue.
avonseller said: What roles and etc are under consideration to change if you can tell? Looking forward to the update I'll probably use this as my main 442

I got really sick (probably flu), so I will only continue when healed, since I'm feeling really bad.

However, this tactic is supposed to overload one side, so it will definitely not be made symmetric. I plan to start changing W-At to W-Su or DW-Su, WB-At to FB-At and maybe Mez-At to SS-At.
Ole said: Yes, that's what I did, I started using tactics from Knap, they worked until the moment when my team couldn't do anything at all...

Remember to read "Squad Management" in the first post of Blue DM, as well as important attributes. Resting players from training after matches in tight weeks makes all the difference, as well as praising to increase morale.
Ole said: Will it work with teams from the lower leagues? Or maybe you have a special tactic for the lower leagues?

Any good tactic does work for lower leagues.
