Pretty sure you linked the wrong stuff.
Mark said: @RAFSTAR I hope this answers your question to me as well.

Well after a bit of working through things I have the results. I took about 200 with the best ratings and added a few from below that to pad out some of the Blue positions. Ended up with around 250 of the best players using the ykykyky balanced ratings file. After downloading all the ratings for all the positions I then manually added all the Playing Position ratings for all those players, but only if they were at least 15. I probably should have only used 18 and above but hey it is all done now. I have arranged it into the top 20 for each position. I also decided to add non ZaZ Blue positions for people not using ZaZ Blue tactic. Just remember these numbers may be different for each persons game. I have split the results into 2 sections, first for defenders and second for attackers.

Defenders

Attackers

I also selected the best from each position and put them into the ZaZ Blue structure. Here is what the best team would look like.

The team rating is 90.9 which is more than 4 points clear of the best side at the start my game save.

These rankings should work with any tactic even though they were originally designed for ZaZ Blue. Notice that in the main there aren't big margins at the top of the lists. If you were using ZaZ Blue you could easily drop a fair way down and have no noticeable impact on performance.

Thanks for the lists, Mark! Always going beyond expectations. If you don't mind, I have added it to the initial post, under "Suggested Players".

P.S.: I just noticed how much of a "monster" the first topic became, with so much information about the game.
Season is finally over, but unfortunately we didn't manage to win the Premier League. I did everything I could and scored 93 points at the end, but Arsenal was just impossible this season. To be fair, it would be enough points to be champion in most seasons, but this one was just not supposed to happen.

On the bright side, we won UEFA Champions League in a thrilling match of 9 goals, which I decided to record and show below (it took 1h just to upload the 3gb video to Youtube). I started conceding with 20 seconds, then I scored twice before 8 minutes mark. After that, every time I scored, Bayern Munich seemed to get a boost in morale and equalize, which made this match tense from start to finish. We got the crown in the end, a well deserved reward after this run of eight seasons!

P.S.: Click "Watch on Youtube" for better quality. For some reason, it appears all blurry when I play it from here.

I hope this story was enjoyable enough to everyone. Let me know if any of my tips was useful and if there is anything you would want to add. Also, make sure to share your own experience if you decide to make a similar run!
Sandro said: It looks like you still have a chance of winning both trophies. Good luck with that.

Way higher chances to lose both. I hope to at least reach finals on the UCL, even if I lose in the end. For premier league, only if a disaster happens to Arsenal, but since they lost so many points in the last matches, it might be possible.
Four matches left to end season, two from Premier League and two from Champions League. In the league, I managed to reduce difference from 8 to 2 points, but when I had the chance to take the lead, I lost to Manchester United. Now the difference is 3 points with two matches to go. In the champions League, I lost the first leg 4-2, but I believe I can turn things around at home.

Since those will be some stressful matches, I'll play when my mind is very clear so I don't get so annoyed if I lose.
I added the following recommendation to the first post.

"To keep players fresh during the season and avoid injuries, I also recommend setting automatic training intensity to rest all players below excellent condition, as in the picture below.
"

I apologize for my English. I'm not very good at English.
There's one thing I want to ask you.
You told the players to rest.

I set a standard.
remaining game days
less than 8, more than 8

Am I doing it right?

p.s. Your tactics are great!
you write so well
thanks!

Thanks!

I usually do like this:
1/4 heart = 3 days
1/2 heart = 2 days
3/4 heart = 1 day

If I have 7+ days to rest, 1 extra day to everyone, including 1 day to players at full heart.

The way you are doing is also fine and easier.

P.S.: I feel a bit stupid now, but I realized you can do that automatically on the training -> rest screen. You can set half heart to no pitch work and 75% heart to half intensity. That would be enough to avoid most injuries and recover players to next match. I will test it now, to see if it's enough or if it's better to have no pitch to 75% as well.

Gratz!
A couple more matches into the season and things went pretty well. I mean, I qualified to quarter finals of Champions League, won Carabao Cup and got kicked out from FA Cup by Chelsea. On the other hand, even though I got 28 of 30 points in the last 10 matches of the league, Arsenal is still 8 points ahead of me. I don't think I'll win the league this year simply because Arsenal doesn't lose.

About UCL, I got two victories against Porto to show below. First match was pretty even, but we won 2-0. Second match was home and we completely dominated the match, but in the end it was just 1-1.
Chewbacca said: Hi, ZaZ. Apologize, if I might sound stupid but what do you mean when you say player instruction are from Blue? Where I can find those player instructions?

Thanks.

You can find those player instructions in most tactics these days. I say they are instructions from Blue because it's the tactic that made those instructions popular, but I have no ownership over instructions. They just got so close to optimal that it's very hard to create a top tactic without them. If Blue didn't exist and I had never made any tactic, people would still have reached a similar set of player and team instructions.
DoubleR said: What about the green 5.0 tactic you posted??

Green 5.0 is a natural upgrade from Green 4.0 after inverted players started performing well again in new patch. However, @Geek posted a tactic with the same shape before that, and since player instructions and set pieces are also from Blue, it would make no sense to test Green in FM-Arena.

I actually stop posting lots of tactics because someone already posted a similar one. For example, I didn't post Yellow 3.0 because it got the same shape as this tactic (however, my version uses Vol-Su instead). Other examples are Orange and White, that people posted similar tactics to what I was testing and I also avoided posting. I only posted Green because some people that tried it thought it was really good and wanted me to post, but results will obviously be very similar to that from Geek.
alexej said: Hi Zaz, you working on anything else or does this seam to the peak performance in the current match engine?

I'm trying some tactics, but only subpar results. Lots of people are also trying, but since performance is already very close to optimal, it gets pretty hard to find improvements.
G1102 said: A little update . I was expecting to boss the league , but not like this :).
Trashed Grimsby , at that moment in second place 6-1 in their home.
Exceptional tactic ZaZ.

Gratz! As long as you remember to rest players individually after matches and praise every week after training review, you will keep overachieving for sure, since morale and physical condition are the main reasons why you could go downhill.
robertsseu said: @ZaZ Hi Mate, I know you have added in an attribute sheet about the best possible attributes for those players in the positions. Have you thought about creating a shortlist for some good players that would suit the tactic significantly? I know this could take some time, but it would help massively and I am sure a lot of people with respect it. OR Does something like this exist as I am hoping?

Thanks.

You can ask @Mark about that. He got the best filters for FM Genie Scout, then it's just about searching the best players and saving as a shortlist.
NiD2103 said: I concede a lot of goals atm with Blue 4.0 (playing SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga) and i also have the problem of many offside goals, which in the end sometimes even cost me the game.

Is there anything i might miss?
As i said, i'm using the Blue 4.0 Tactic and didn't really changed much (I'm using Light and Solid from time to time like your description said) but i struggle a lot (8 wins, 2 draw, 8 losses currently).

Other than what @Lapidus said, you have to keep in mind that the tactic doesn't make miracles. It will help you overachieve in the league, but if your team is predicted to end last, you will probably end mid table or around the top, but hardly champion (unless it's a very even league).
pixar said: What kind of training program did you use during and before the season when you were a semi-professional?

When you are semi-pro, training for gaining attributes is useless. Your facilities are poor, your staff sucks and your players have low PA. For that reason, it's always better to focus in match bonuses like Teamwork, Defensive Positioning and Attacking Movement. That makes three out of four sessions of the week, considering you have a match during the third day. I use the last session for match practice, because it gives happiness and cohesion.
NiD2103 said: does this tactic still hold up with FM22?

Can still be used, but not the most effective in FM-Arena test anymore.
Droid said: @ZaZ, how is it going in CL? Have you managed to win it yet?

I'm taking it slowly, because I limit myself to play only around 10 matches a day. More than that and I can lose the entire day or weeks in the game, which isn't a good idea for me. I also test some new tactics when I'm not playing, but I didn't get much luck in anything new yet, only subpar options.

I'm now reaching half of the season, 20 matches in the league, and things don't seem so good. I mean, I'm not doing badly, barely the same points per match as last season, but opponents seem to be doing a better job. Since my rep went up, they are now taking me more seriously, so I hope to have a better second half of season. Maybe I'm paying for focusing on UCL and using reserve team in 14 of 20 matches, but it couldn't be helped since I have two matches per week. If I repeat main team in the league, I'll end up tired and injured for the later stages of UCL.

Transfer window opens in one week and board increased my budget to 40mi euros, so I might bring one new face and see how it goes.
xamnat said: Is Blue 4.0 better than Blue DM on the latest patch? Blue DM worked extremely well for me and it seems to be more effective than 4.0 for me so far.

It's better. It's the same tactic, but with improved set pieces. It uses AML/R instead of ML/R, but they have similar performance.
I can't read the language, but searching for the same shape, it seems like there are a couple of tactics very similar. That might be the reason.
