(like this tactic - https://fm-arena.com/thread/1362-yawn-by-egraam/)

In other words, the link sheet was made after many successful tactics done.
Thank you for your good advice, though.

Yeah, the link considers all tactics tested here with score over 6.0.
What are the differences to the other versions?
Gaksital said: Great rating! now I believe it's true that data never betray. If I used BPD and IWB as your advice, I might have gotten a slightly higher rating, but it's enough.
I will usefully refer to your spreadsheet link when making tactics. Thank you.

Just don't be too zealous about it, since if everyone follows that sheet, there will hardly be many improvements for other stuff that didn't get good results yet.
Gaksital said: I'm adding in new version to this thread:woot:

With the help of brilliant tacticians, I brought the last version of my tactic for RGA.
It did very well with both Leeds and Chelsea. All these are the holiday results!

Leeds qualified for the Champions League, finished 4th in the PL table.
Chelsea won the PL with 101pts, also Carabao cup, and Champions League, achieving treble.

I'd appreciate it if this tactic is tested. thank you.

If you want other hints, I'd tell you to change your FB to either WB or IWB with support duty, since those two roles have better performance in this patch. The maximum score a tactic with FB got was 6.5, while WB and IWB were the only roles to score more than 7.0. For the same reason, you could also change your CD to BPD with defend duty. (P.S.: It doesn't mean FB and CD are bad, just that no tactic got good score with them yet.)

For more info about the best score achieved by roles and positions, you can check this link.
Gaksital said: Brilliant tacticians on this site are amazing...! I have no choice but to give up improving this tactic.

You have a big gap in the flanks because your FB don't go up and your W advance too much. Maybe changing the FB to support would help, as well as retreating the W from AML/R to ML/R, with the same role. That would give some extra balance since RGA isn't always in his position.
Machismo said: Can you remind me about in-season training.  I downloaded but haven't read any thoughts, comments.  In-season training -  Is switching to in-season 2nd year for every team in 2nd season or is it for elites only?  I'm York 2nd season in (Vanarama Nat.)

It's for any professional teams, since semi-professionals don't train full time. I suppose York is professional, right?

Pre-season is supposed to be used in the first 4 or 5 weeks of the year, while In-season is during the season, starting in the week of the first official match.
Keshk said: should i change their individuals as they want or keep it "Quickness" like what u said ?

Let them whine. If you check the happiness menu, they are still happy despite being unhappy with training. Training is just a very small part of happiness and I prefer to ignore those complains than not develop my players the way I want.
dakiri said: Yes, definitely agree with you both! Just pointing out that if there's a 3 games/week schedule in FM22 (even for just 1 year), it'll be even more important, and some of the lower intensity tactics that tend to score poorly here might be comparably even stronger than they appear.

If you play three matches a week, you need to rotate the entire team for the middle match. For example, you can do team A, team B, team A, or play with mixed A, mixed B, mixed A. As long as you rest players from training after the matches, they will handle it.

I played a game in Brazil with Juventude, considered the worst team from the league, and managed to get the crown in the first season with points to spare, despite playing three matches a week. It's completely doable if you focus on team management. (Thanks @Gpassosbh for the update for South American leagues.)
dakiri said: Hmm, I wonder if that will make FM Arena's current testing method too unrealistic? There's already the conflict where high-intensity tactics can sometimes overperform here since there's no fatigue in the testing league. With good enough players and 1-2 games per week it doesn't seem to really make a big difference in an actual save. But in FM22 if we're forced to use way more backup players due to squad fatigue, I wonder if low-intensity tactics might be a more successful season-long option, allowing the best players to play more often.

Like @Zippo said above, FM-Arena tries to find the best tactic. However, building a balanced squad, rotating and managing players psycology is still a duty for the manager. You can still have a lower intensity tactic for when matches are already decided or when you need to rest players, since you have three available slots for tactics. However, if you want to skip the managing aspects of the game, then you also need to sacrifice the quality of your tactic.

version: 21.2.2-1503138(m.e v21.5.0.0)

Unless you are playing a pirate version, it should be 21.4, since it updates automatically. There is no version 21.5. You can see the game version in the starting screen, when you choose to load or create a new game, by the bottom.
Egraam said: There is also an option in Preferences -> Advanced -> Match -> Processing -> Match scheduling options, where you can change so you have games only on Wednesdays and Saturdays, so you won't have to bother with editing schedules.

Wait until FM22, with Covid-19 going on. Leagues start six months later, then you have three matches per week.
Segun said: Hi @ZaZ  Regarding the training schedules. Do i need to change the Match days in the schedules or does it change automatically when you load the schedules? If i need to change it my self, is there a simple way to do so?

Unfortunately, you need to change the schedules by yourself. I also wish there was an automatic way to do that. The easiest way is to copy from an empty week, then paste on the weeks you want. You need to go month by month pasting in all weeks.

About match day, you need to change manually if your league plays in different days. Just move trainings from saturday to sunday, then save it.

Kathos said: Hey prutton, amazing work on the tactic been having a blast taking hungerford town to European glory, it’s been a very successful 16 seasons.

I was wondering if you had done any tests on the shadow strikers and their weak foots, how important is it to have a good weak foot on your shadow strikers for this tactic or is it important at all, would you give up a few points on acc/pace for it? And what are your general thoughts on weak foots. Thanks a ton.

Thank you for the compliment.

I didn't test for weak foot, but it was tested here before and it's better to have the same foot as side. However, I wouldn't sacrifice stats for a stronger weak foot. I don't know how important it is, but in my experience, I've never noticed that someone good with both feet was any better than someone similar but only one foot.

Django said: @ZaZ I've been using the blue tactic for a long time and I really think it's the best tactic in the game. If we want to make some changes and use a different approach, what would you recommend? Other than Blue, is there a different tactic that you use from time to time and have success? For example, a tactic that uses real strikers? I would be very happy if you could help, I trust your suggestions very much.

I think Void is very amusing to watch, it's a crime it didn't reach the 7.0's in score table. I also like a lot the layout of Afterlife, because two DMs make it easier to build a balanced squad. For a tactic with real strikers, it's hard to beat Fanatic.
pixar said: Hi bro, I would have a few questions.
Your instructions for your shadow strikers include move into channels.

Do you make your coaches do this training in the development of your shadow strikers? would you recommend this?

Also, do you prefer to have reverse or normal feet depending on the side where your shadow strikers are located?

Thank you :)

Yes, I would train move into channels on the shadow strikers. I'm not sure if it makes any difference in the game mechanics, but I feel like it makes the players stick more to what you want from the tactics.

Same foot as side for defenders, wingers and strikers. For IWB or the midfielders, foot preference doesn't matter much.
Doesn't Afterlife use WB instead of CWB?
ElTurco said: Let me try by changing the set ball organizations and making a difference in the roles, then maybe you don't claim that that tactic is yours..

I'm not claiming anything. I don't mind people making tweaks, it's just that the forum has some rules to avoid brute force testing.
ElTurco said: Your ZaZ - Blue 3.0 tactic is an improved version of the PHOENIX V5.0 tactic.. While your tactic is being shared, why isn't my tactic, which edits like you, shared. The instructions I have given in tactics play the game differently, I guess you are not aware of this, and I tried a lot with zaz blue 3.0, after a while, it becomes a losing streak. You should know that your tactics do not work..

First version of Blue was posted before the first version of Phoenix, it's easy to check in the forums. It was an improvement of my first tactics, which were inspired by both Duke and Gunslinger, top tactics from the first patch.

It's only natural to look at other tactics to understand why they do well, then try to improve it. However, FM-Arena has a policy to only test tactics that have significant changes. They are more willing to test very similar tactics if it's a new version of your old tactic (2.0, 3.0 and so on) or if you name it as a tweak, like "Void tweak two goalkeepers".
Machismo said: Learning a new trait - my mob are down in the Vanarama zones playing ZaZ Blue.  Generically speaking what "new trait" would suit each positional role to learn?

e.g. Def. winger > hug touchline or come inside, etc?

Get traits that match the player roles. For example, wingers have instructions to move outside with the ball, so they would be better hugging the touchline than coming inside.
