It's for Genie Scout. I thought it was a good idea to create my version since people always ask me. Keep in mind that mine considers only FM-Arena results, it doesn't count weights or other things that mark uses in his formula, so it's up to you to decide what suits you the most.

Wigo said: Ohh please can you upload as FM suited files??? that would be fantastic from you! (same as your tactics :) )

Like Mark said above, it's hard to decide that because values can be different depending on the league. Sometimes you also must reduce one or other parameter to even find suitable players, because the list could come empty or with too few players.
I'm gonna take the freedom to add the filters I use. They are mainly based on FM-Arena performance tests, dividing players in three groups:
- Defense: central defenders.
- Transition: wingbacks and defensive midfielders.
- Attack: wingers, central midfielders, advanced midfielders and strikers.

Goalkeepers are also there, but they use my personal feelings instead of any tests, since it's hard to evaluate the most important attributes for goalkeepers.

Link here, since I can't upload as attachment.

Sorry, I didn't see any new update.
bwig said: Woah ZaZ. Second season. Lost Mbappé and bought Haaland. huge rotation and best season ever.
More than 200 goals scored.
Haaland with 22 goals in CL and 44 in league.
Dynamics in perfect state.
Plenty of new 16-17 yr old talents.
Needless to say that I won the quintuple :D!
Love this tactic!

Gratz! Most tactics work with PSG, but this one works extremely well.
bwig said: had 4 too. its a draw! gabi is <3 tho. Have him at psg too now. Second season is insane. Will post at the end. going for 200+ goals ;)

Gabriel Barbosa is not so good in real life, but he is a beast in the game.

P.S.: I only watched him playing in Brazil and the Libertadores finals, which he didn't seem very impressive. I checked here and he scored 12 this season in brazilian league, which isn't so great either.
khsres said: Do you have any particular player trait for this tactic?

Avoid anything that changes the behaviour of the tactic. For example, players with "get further forward" shouldn't get "stay back all times". Instead, get traits that enforce the behaviour, like players with "move into channels" get the trait that does the same thing.

my defenders are averaging 7 match ratings only bad thing is everyone wants to sign them and im loosing half my squad each window:(

Thank you for testing!
gameresq said: Do you have any tips/tactics for when your team is winning? I feel the team suffer a lot of goals/pressure when it is winning on the final quarter of the game. Changing to "cautious" instead of attacking doesn't seem to help, unfortunately

I didn't manage to get any good defensive changes yet. You can check the table for least conceding tactics and pick one for there, or you can lower your intensity to save energy and have better performance by the end. To lower the intensity, you can decrease tempo to 25%, set all PIs to ease off tackles and add slow pace down team instruction, for example.
idek0k said: I have a question. It may sound stupid, but bear with me.

In the attributes testing, we can see that pace and acceleration, when reduced, are the ones that concede more goals. Does this mean that if only my defenders (CBs and FBs) and maybe my CDM are faster, I’ll concede less goals, or do I also need faster strikers, wingers and cms to concede less? (This may be a bad example because it also helps goal scoring but ignore that)

What I’m trying to say is, when looking at the attributes that concede less goals, should I only look for that attribute in defenders/cdms? If when attribute X is reduceded the team concededs the most goals, do I only look for attribute X in defenders/cdms or in all positions? And vice versa

If attribute Y, when reduceded by 5, concedes a lot more goals, but doesn’t make that much of a difference in goals scored, so I look for that attribute in only my defenders or also attackers? Will X in attackers help the team defend? If not, what positions will I consider for attacking, defending and both?

Sorry if this is a complicated question. I don’t know if anyone is capable or giving a real answer but I was just wondering. Hope it made sense

It's a complicated questiong. Basically, defenders are in charge of defending, but having quicker attackers or midfielders means you lose possession less often and get in better positions for passes, for example. Losing possession causes counter-attack opportunities, so doing it less means you concede less goals.
Nice result for such a weird shape.
Zippo said: We do a lot of internal testing to make sure our testing league is reliable.

We've got a tactic testing league where all the players have their Mental and Technical attributes around 11 - 13 so it's a very low level for the attributes.

We test all the tactics that come on top in that league too to make sure there's no significant different between that league and the main league and I can say we haven't been noticing any significant difference.

Also, we test all high rated tactics in the major real leagues in the game with the real players and the real teams to see whether there's any difference comparing to our main tactic testing league.

For example, here's our "fake" EPL ( we adjusted it to 76 matches ).

I meant more a league where mental and technical are around 8-10, but if you tested there and say there isn't much statistical difference, then I believe you. I didn't know those kind of tests were done under the hood. Good work!
MeGaMaN said: can anyone beat 4 goals disallowed in a game?

That's when you blame the referee after the match and get a suspension.

That's FM for you!
Zippo said: Hi everyone,

We've collected a huge amount of data since the release of FM22 and it helped us to significantly improve our tactic testing league.

We analyzed the tactical settings of AI managers and determined which of them are most successful.

Here's an example how the tactical settings of AI managers look like ( it's just an example and there's nothing special in it ) :

We analyzed the formations across different leagues and determined the most successful of the them ( it's just an example and there's nothing special in it ):

We analyzed the roles and duties that the AI managers use and determined the most successful combinations ( it's just an example and there's nothing special in it ):

The attributes testing greatly helped us to understand how the attributes work in FM22 - https://fm-arena.com/table/13-fm22-attributes-ratings/

I can say that all that changes make a significant difference.

We haven't decided yet whether to start re-testing all the tactics for the current M.E. or wait for a new patch/M.E.

Tell us what you think we should do?

Cheers.

First of all, thank you for all your hard work.

About your question, I don't think there is any need to test all tactics again. If you really want to test to not stay idle until next patch, I would advise to start testing the first tactic in table, then and all others with at least 93% of points per match (inside the margin of error of 7%).

Other than that, I would like to see tests in a similar league where all teams have CA lower than 100, to see how the tactics react in an environment where players have lower quality. I'm not talking about having one team with high CA and another with low CA, but having another league just like the one used here, with all teams having reduced CA.

Would this make sense?
Im constantly receiving "complains" from a lot of players asking to have more strenght training

That is fine, but I don't get why so much teamwork. One per week is enough to me. Saturday is also often match day.

Anyway, don't expect to develop players at that level. Players are too bad, your coaches suck and your training grounds are awful. By the time they get better, you should be in a higher division hiring better players.
Teamwork, defense positioning, attacking movement and match practice. You have four sessions a week and that's what I use.
Belmorn said: Long shots better
passes to do easy tap ins working much better vs a lot of sidenetting in previous verions
Crosses being seem really strong ( and thus corners as well )
Mentality system broken - very attacking by default gives best results while it should be a last resort when behind only pretty much
Youth development "tweaked" / bugged
Horrible regen faces ( although this wont be fixed until fm 23 for sure )
some mental stats important on paper but tests indicating they are a lot less important then they "should" - too much emphasis on physicals imo

Honestly atm Im considering going back to my longterm save of fm21 until some of these issues are fixed tbh

Most of those points weren't very different in FM21, to be honest. =)
Grimlock said: obviously, the game is way more difficult this year

I would say there are too many beautiful goals from right outside the area, with the ball hitting the post and going in. I guess they improved the accuracy of shots, because in last FM all strikers were blind.
MeGaMaN said: Definitely feels like all "plug and play" tactics are weaker on FM22 than previous iterations

Top tactics from last year had 72% win rate in FM-Arena test. This year, top tactic has barely 60%. It's not about plug and play, but tactics in general are worse this year. Defenses are just too leaky at the moment, not because of the tactics, but the match engine itself.
Thank you!
